The Bottom Line:
highly recommendable for this price, and if you're looking for a mp3-cd player (i think now you could better go for the i-pod) this is the one.
When I bought the thing, it was top of the market. And the great thing is that it still is. There may be smaller devices, but the "chrome-x" has every feature you could come up with.
The best thing about it is the durability. I have used it for so many hours now, and it still works without any problems. When I was in Spain I used it as a (mini)hifi system combined with computer speakers, and it played everyday for at least four hours non-stop with no sign of exhausting. Although the interface is a bit challenging, all my friends seemed to get along with it quite well.
The only big con is that you can't easily take it for a walk, because it's just to big.
From my experience I also learned that it is quite waterproof, I've had it in my jacket while it was raining several times, but it can easily resist a little water on the exterior.
I still have fun with it every day, so if you're thinking about getting one, don't think, do so.
