Great MP3 Player

byrbgregory Jun 11, 2006

Pros MP3, WMA, OGG standards. Subscription compatible. Standard or rechargeable AA battery...
Cons Only 1GB of memory. Wish it had timescaling (see review) and AM radio.
Recommended it? Yes

The iriver T10 MP3 player is a handy little alternative to the iPod Nano. I actually prefer this device to the Nano, for reasons I discuss later in this review.

My unit was purchased for me as a gift at Target for $129. It comes with earbuds, a lanyard, a training CD that also has Windows... Read full review »

Buy this!!!

byalltheneatest Aug 5, 2006
14 Helpfuls 15 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Unbeatable sound, abundant features, durable, lightweight, incredible battery life
Cons Does not come with sports armband
Recommended it? Yes

My iRiver T-10 is my fourth mp3 player, and it is the only one I have owned that I would replace with the same player. I bought it in June 2006 to replace my mediocre Sansa M230 (which inexplicably broke after three months of use). Previous to the Sansa, I owned a Sony (I dropped it in water), and... Excellent, solid player

Pros Battery life, 1GB memory, excellent sound, relatively easy to use, quality
Cons Straight plug on earbud jack
Recommended it? Yes

This is my first MP3 player. So I had to deal with alittle bit of a learning curve, as most of my music is on CDs.

Price: I paid $98 for the player and the armband from beachcamera.com. Shipping was included in the price. This player tends to average $140 in most places, so the price I... Read full review »

I'm unimpressed

Pros Simple, seems durable, Has FM player, battery ok,
Cons No audible, No podcasts,
Recommended it? No

If you have any sophistication with your collection, if you use iTunes (which is 80% of the market) to buy songs, or if you have money, then just buy an iPod.

I wanted to come here to let you all know, but when I got here I was flabbergasted when I saw all these positive reviews.

I love it

bybeanman42 Jan 12, 2007
5 Helpfuls 6 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Value, voice and FM recording, portability, replaceable AA battery
Cons More diff. navigation than iPod, small display
Recommended it? Yes

I have had the 2GB iriver T10 for about a month and love it. I use it for both music and podcasts. In comparison to the ubiquitous iPod, I would say it is a much better value. The pluses over the iPod are the inclusion of voice recording and FM radio, the ability to set a timer to record FM radio,... Read full review »

I have had this model for 4 months now. It has excellent battery life, approx 40 hours on a SINGLE rechargeable AA battery. No need to carry cords or have a docking station. This is my 2nd iRiver in 3 years. Love it!

I wear the iRiver on my belt loop while at work, gardening, in the car... Read full review »

Pros small, sleek, well angled for gym/exercise, long battery life, belt loop is great too.
Cons 2gb. so not a portable hard drive. I love it though. Iriver > Apple
Recommended it? Yes

I bought a top of the line nano...black...looked nice. Had to order the plastic film for it to cover it from scratches, got a hard and soft sleeve protector for it...all in all i spent $80 trying to keep this dumb thing from scratching to much.

The sound reproduction in the 2gb t10 (i... Read full review »

Playback speed lacks pitch control

byjim12311 Feb 12, 2008
4 Helpfuls 5 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Inexpensive, solid construction, easy to use, good battery life and sound.
Cons Lacks pitch control at higher playback speed.
Recommended it? Yes

I bought mine used and with a defective FM tuner, but only wanted an MP3 player. Listen to lots of podcasts. The playback speed can be increased or decreased, but there's no pitch control, so at the top speed of 50% faster the voices are almost too squeaky to understand. I've heard cassette tape... the perfect mp3(almost?)

bysecret696 Aug 15, 2006
3 Helpfuls 4 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros affordable, holds pictures, stores songs, harder to break and plays longer
Cons you cannot download games or videos
Recommended it? Yes

This iriver T10 brought me to love music in a more affordable way than Apples Ipod. You can also use the t10 for a longer period than that of the Ipod and instead of charging for hours you have a choice of using a rechargeable double A battery or using a cheap double A battery that you can buy at... Great 1st MP3 Player

bybluesdoxiega Aug 8, 2006
3 Helpfuls 4 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Color screen, logical menu system, AA battery, drop/drag file loading, locking feature.
Cons Uncomfortable earbuds.
Recommended it? Yes

This is my first mp3 player and I love it! It is very easy to navigate the menu system to select albums/songs you want to play. The color screen is easier to read than a monochrome screen. Uses a AA battery for power, so it is easy to keep it running on trips. The locking feature is also great,... Read full review »
