A small king in the land of MP3 players!!
Pros
Size and sound
Cons
Wrist strap
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Buy it, enjoy it. Nuff said ;)
After finally getting rid of my ipod (became to bulky) I was in search of a small lightweight MP3 player that I could toss in my shirt pocket and forget about it at the gym.
After some searching and research (the ipod mini, dell's MP3 player, zen MP3 player) I chose the iriver due to it's size, features, and other excellent reviews here on epinions.
Some additional features that the iriver includes are the voice recorder, the line in jack, and finally the FM tuner. The voice recorder works well and my "recorded" was clear and had a warm FM sound to it. I haven't used the line in jack for external recording but the manual does a good job of explaining this function. The FM tuner works great and is a nice addition to the iriver.
I didn't use the included software to transfer music as my Musicmatch 10 Jukebox automatically recognized the iriver when I plugged it in (as I had hoped). Files transfer quickly via the USB connection.
Here's what I like.......
**IT'S SMALL AND LIGHT!!! About the size and width of a cigarette lighter and about 1" thick. Tuck it in a pocket and forget about it!
**Storage space is good, I have 34 songs on the iriver so far and still have 84 meg of memory left.
**It sounds awesome (just as good as the ipod) and has a wide range of EQ settings, in fact I was shocked when I first listened to it, no need to upgrade the ear buds, these sound great.
**The included FM tuner works well and easily picks up local radio stations and TV's in the gym.
**Menu's and playlists are easy to navigate, it takes some practice and maybe a quick run through the manual but you'll get the hang of it.
**The manual is helpful and easy to navigate
**The display is fairly easy to read and lights up nice and blue to make reading easier.
**Battery life is great.
Here's what I don't like.....
**The little plastic holster is a bit cheap
**I can see where the wrist strap will give people problems. It's horribly oversized and doesn't offer a wide enough "fit range".
The bottom line, go buy one you'll enjoy it!!
