First impression review

Pros great sound, smaller than expected, easy to use
Cons people aren't kiddin about the arm contraption folks!
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  great player, buy if you have extra cash
It was this or the Creative 256mb XT FM. I order the creative from Walmart at an unsually low price but as usual: back ordered with no clue of next shipment. Canceled it. Went to the neighborhood bestbuy got this instead. Still crying about the money spent on it! 149.99 with California tax at 8.25% (T_T)

790T and 890T is the same player and spec. less the body design and places to buy them. The 890 is found only at bestbuy while the 790 is found everywhere eles. 790 is more kitty while the 890 is more slick and simple.

Well, if you are reading this, then you are considering buying a flash mp3 player. I hope this is helpful, but I seriously doubt it! I had this for 4 hours now and nothing wrong with it. hahaha here we go..

First off, the plastic cover is really really hard to open. Took me 15 min to open it clean with an x-acto blade and almost split my fingers.

What you get is the player, arm band, plastic case (attach to armband), armband, bunch of instruction booklets, USB cable, headphones (with extra covers), line-in cable, and installation CD.

Great sounding player. Very impress with the output of this thing. Add the EQ for more thrill and rush. Loud and crystal clear. Heard stuff from the music I've never heard before (harmony, and little stuff like small guitar riff, bells, etc). Wow, gotta listen to every collection again! By the way, the music I listen to is stuff like Ataris, blink 182, finch, oasis, coldplay, and sometime metallica. The bass drums comes out tight and clear on this player!! wot!wot! can't say much about .... hip hop?? is what what they call it? Whatever.

Headphone is.. well to me... very good. Works fine, nice bass, be sure to keep EQ limit on if you don't wanna mess them up. Fit in ears just fine. Never been a fan of buying earbuds that cost the same price of the player (or more).

Transfering music to player is cake less the required program to install. Programs looks like CD burner scheme. Just drag and drop, close program, 'safely remove drive', you're set! Careful not to spend a lot of time on this cuz your running on your battery!

All the basic features are very intutitive. Just mess around with it a bit (20 min) and you'll do fine without the manuals. Unless you're a dinosaur, this is cake. (I'm 23, by the way, living in the city of LA.) The buttons are place in right places, easy to navigate. (while in your hand)

Yep, the people aren't kidding about the armband. Very small, more like a wristband. The way the player is attach to the contraption is very weird also. Feels very unbalanced, hard to get to the buttons, and cuts circulation to one arm!

In addition to the armband, the battery hatch is poorly constructed. slides right out with little to no effort. So I'll try to keep it in the included plastic case. Man, this was going so well!

Anyway check back in a few weeks, or when something goes wrong (nature forbid). Long live John Lennon!
