Great MP3 Player for Windows, but not Mac
Pros
clear sound, Radio reception good, long battery life
Cons
not suitable for a Mac, case doesn't fit right, USB door is flimsy
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
recommended for PC users. Not suitable for Mac users. A good mp3 player.
This is my first mp3 player and I did a lot of research before buying. I'm impressed with the features. It has a lot and the FM radio tuner is a nice bonus. I don't live near any large towns and was expecting fuzzy radio reception but the channels come in clear. The player itself requires a bit of practice if you are not a gadget freak, but it does a lot. It will record songs from the radio and also voice. An awesome little gizmo.
The down side is that the Music Manager for the Mac is minimal. The manual states (and I quote from the manual)
*Music Files (MP3, WMA, OGG, ASF) can not be uploaded from the player to the Mac in accordance with current copyright guidelines.
*You can upload recorded FM, Line in. or Voice files to your Mac as well as any data files.
*MP3, WMA, OGG or ASF files may not be transferted to your Mac from the player.
If your music is stored on a Mac, buy another MP3 player. If you are a PC user you shouldn't have any problems. Fortunately I have a PC at work and can plug the iRiver into that machine.
