No Perfect MP3 Player
Into exercising and want to listen to music while working out, well there are a number of flash players to choose from - this review looks at the IRiver 790. Not using it for exercising - then buy an IPod, there is no better player for non-physical activity listening.

Outstanding Flash Player
[updated Feb. 28, 2005. see bottom of review]
The iFP-790 is THE flash player to get, if 256 megs is enough for you. I won't lie, I was only able to load 43 songs max onto my player the first time I used it. (too many 192bit mp3s). If you're planning on buying a small flash player, be...

First impression review
It was this or the Creative 256mb XT FM. I order the creative from Walmart at an unsually low price but as usual: back ordered with no clue of next shipment. Canceled it. Went to the neighborhood bestbuy got this instead. Still crying about the money spent on it! 149.99 with California tax at 8.25%... Read full review »
Good choice for workout buffs!!
I work and play on an Apple iBook and G4. My goal was to find a good value MP3 player that would be OSX compatible, have an FM tuner, file storage support and transfer rate, great sound, and be one that I could go to the gym with. Well, after doing extensive research for several months, this gem... Read full review »
Great MP3 Player for Windows, but not Mac
This is my first mp3 player and I did a lot of research before buying. I'm impressed with the features. It has a lot and the FM radio tuner is a nice bonus. I don't live near any large towns and was expecting fuzzy radio reception but the channels come in clear. The player itself requires a bit of... Read full review »
A small king in the land of MP3 players!!
After finally getting rid of my ipod (became to bulky) I was in search of a small lightweight MP3 player that I could toss in my shirt pocket and forget about it at the gym.
After some searching and research (the ipod mini, dell's MP3 player, zen MP3 player) I chose the iriver due to it's...

With Windows XP All is well!
I have been using this player for the past two weeks. I love the sound and the small size. The earphone quality is good! It is shiny red and great for Gym!
I have however found issues with the software.
I have a three year old desktop running windows Me. First time I tried to install...

Terrific MP3 Player
Just bought this MP3 player to replace my RCA Lyra 128 that was a good little unit. I needed something small to use when I jog with an FM tuner. The iRiver is really nice, has more capabilities than I'll ever even use! You can actually record a song directly from the FM tuner if you like and it has... Read full review »
Well made and good sound, but too many features?
I've had my iRiver iFP-790 for 2 years now. I use it no less than 2 or 3 times a week and almost exclusively for exercising. Keep that in mind while reading this review.
The good:
1. This baby is light and small. It's about the size of a cigarette lighter and practically weightless...
