I wanted a movie camera with a decent zoom and at a decent price. I tried another more expensive brand however ended up takng it back because of how poor the quality was when shooting indoors. This JVC GR-DA30 Mini DV Camcorder isn't the greatest in low light but it is definitely one of the better cameras for shooting in low light. I had heard alot about the direct to DVD cameras having problems with the DVDs getting stuck or skipping so I decided to stay with tape and I can plug this camcorder into my computer and convert the tape to DVD. It's an extra step but the tape runs smoothly when recording so I don't have to worry about missing anything. All in all I think this camcorder is well worth the money.
