The Bottom Line:
Nice, cheap, fragile, back by JVC (not a plus) acessories very expensive, possible gouging here
Great looking, easy to handle, lightweight, straight forward camera, very affordable priced little camera with a large screens and no more squinting through a small view finder. It won't tire out your arm either. It's a nice looking camera BUT....
The manual is very difficult to follow. The labeling on the camera is nearly impossible to read. (too small). The camera is quite dellicate and looks like it would take just a small drop to end it's life. Battery life is very short especially if use zoom and tele at all. avg 1 hr to 1hr 15 min. Battery life is about same. AND jvc will ask you for $50.00 for a spare battery...More for a stronger battery and if you opt for the optional battery you won't be able to put the battery cover on!!!! The instructions for completeing the assembly of this unit is vague, hard to understand and the JVC web sit is amoung the worst that I have seen anywhere. Must have been written by the boss's son - Gray lettering on white and a lot of black. The search option is useless too and prices are a closely guarded secret. When I called them I was 6th in line and had to wait for about 20 minutes on my dime, then they put me on hold after that. This is one sad company to deal with. The camera is going back to the retailer tomorrow. When I buy a camera from JVC I do not like to have them rip me off when I wish to buy a spare battery since the one furinshed is totally inadequate for the task.
