The PV-GS39 is a RIP-OFF
This camcorder has a USB port but there is no software on the planet that will make it work on Windows XP. Does Panasonic have software engineers working for them who are brain-dead? Bad choice if you need to connect to your PC
I thought I got a great deal when I bought this camcorder from Best Buy but boy was I wrong! Everything was ok until I tried to connect to my PC. Buyer Beware - Terrible Buy!

Don't buy
I can only agree with the previous reviewers. On emailing Panasonic, they told me to buy the fire wire card and cable and so I did but there is still no way on this planet that my computer can detect this device. Highly disappointing from Panasonic. Read full review »
Panasonic PV -GS39
We bought this camera for our son. He was so excited to take movies and put them on our computer. We can't find any way to upload the movies to the computer. No available software.
