Hewlett Packard OfficeJet J6480 All-In-One InkJet Printer

I researched many printers and tended to sway towards this all-in-one.  The reviews of others who had such terrible luck with this unit really had me on edge.  I read what the pros had to say about it and thought how could I go wrong.  I would try it.  I got it shipped to me and took my time unpacking it.  I remembered what the pros had said about reading the intructions on the install and paid very close attention as I set it up.  I set the 6840 up on my (a little outdated Windows XP) desktop computer first.  I followed all the instructions completely and had absolutely NO problems.  It recognized nicely and I tested out ALL the all-in-one functions without a hitch.  It scanned, copied, and printed.  I don't need it for the fax option so that was the only function I didn't test.  I went on to my second hand but very reliable IBM ThinkPad R51 / Windows XP laptop and had no problems with that one either.  I installed the software, it asked that I attach it via usb cable first and then it ran with the wireless and printed out the wireless test page.  WONDERFUL!!  I'm very impressed.  It couldn't have been easier.  I highly recommend this unit.  Just remember to take your time installing and reading ALL instructions first and you won't go wrong.
