The Bottom Line:
Good print quality, pathetic life.
I was so excited to purchase my first all-in-one printer! It was going to be so great to have my scanner, copier, and printer all in one place instead of spread out all over my desk area. I went to Best Buy, about a year ago now, to check out all of our options. This printer had a great price and seemed to be what we were looking for. I loved that it had a place to print photos onto actual photo paper. The salesman recommended this one but kept pressuring me to buy a regular printer for every day documents. I had no idea why he was doing this but I did not want another printer. My purpose for buying an all in one was to do away with all of the separate stuff. It was so easy to use, I basically plugged it in to the wall, hooked it up to the USB port, downloaded the software and I was ready to go. All of the options for copying and scanning were right on top of the printer. I could also put in the photo memory card right into the printer and then see the photos right on the screen of the printer (no more downloading to the computer first). The printer worked great for about a year with no problems. When the year, and the warranty, was up, the scanner and copier died. The printer continued to work but everything else was dead. So, this printer really creates nice prints, copies and scans but if you do a lot of printing, I suggest you spend more money and do your research. Like I said, it's a great printer for it's short life. I will definitely pay a little more for a better printer. Dealing with HP customer support is no picnic.
