Works great for me

Pros Fast, 6 ink tanks, great output in text, photos and scan.
Cons Draft mode is loud. Can sometimes be slow when first starting up.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Highly recommended. No problems with the installation, no problems with the operation of the unit. Great output. Cheap inks.
I'll get straight to it: it works great for me, without any problems. Draft mode is scary, very fast but loud. Overall, the printer is fast, the results are very good, and the basic controls are simple. I've used all the features and I'm pleased with the results. My previous printer, a Canon Pixma iP3000, printed great photos. This C6280 beats it hands down. Plus I like that it uses the new Vivera inks, which are supposed to be long-lasting. Six ink tanks, which can be replaced at Staples with a $35 pack containing all six HP inks. It also can print in duplex mode.
The scanner output is very good, and much faster than my old HP Scanjet 2400. In fact, I scanned a document and after putting the copy together with the original, I couldn't tell which one was which.
There are some features I miss from my Pixma, like how the printer would turn on when I wanted it to print. The silent mode that I could set for specific time periods, and the dual paper trays. But I believe the trade-off is worth it. I've got a great, simple, all-in-one with six ink tanks, long lasting prints, and impressive output.
But it also goes beyond the simple buttons on the unit. The included software allows me to set different profiles for pictures, normal documents, drafts, etc.
So far I have no complaints. I've mainly used it for printing documents without any hassles. I did alot of research before buying this unit, and I'm very pleased with the results.
UPDATE - I occasionally get an error message stating that it can't print in duplex mode, but it does ayway. This happens when I use our laptop running Vista. I also have it on our home network and the setup was easy. INKS - it seems to go through ink pretty quickly but I recently found large capacity inks at Sam's Club that ahs allowed me to print alot more.
