Cons
Remote is HUGE, with no backlight, and difficult to use.

I've had this receiver for about seven months now and am very satisfied. I bought this to replace an old Sony receiver that my wife somehow damaged with the vacuum cleaner -- Perfect excuse to upgrade with HDMI input and Dolby TrueD, DTS-HD, and DTS-HD High Resolution and Master Audio modes. The receiver has three HDMI inputs and one output, which is perfect for what I need. Output is to five Speakercraft TIME-5 8" speakers and a 12" Speakercraft subwoofer -- very sweet sound, indeed. The auto calibration is super simple (if you can keep the family from barging in and making noise) and GUI menu modes are very easy to use and navigate. I really don't use the Cinema or Music modes much, especially with BlueRay -- I'll stick with the encoded sound. The upconvert for non-HDMI sources works very well. I definitely recommend the unit, but for somebody that wants to spend a bit less, I also highly recommend the new Sony STRDG900 -- Same functionality (with an additional HDMI input), great sound, and less than half the price of the 4300.
