These are BRAND NEW (custom-made for us) clamp-type NAB reel hub adaptors that fit Pioneer, Akai, Tascam, Fostex, Teac, Tandberg, Revox and other 1/4" reel-to-reel decks that take 10.5" reels and have screw-type or spring-loaded reel retainers. The images show them mounted on a Teac A-3300SX (screw-type) and a Revox A77 (spring-type). These are EXACT duplicates of ones once supplied by Teac with many of their models; note the comparison picture showing the Teac original on the left and our version on the right. Several other manufacturers once made similar one-piece adaptors, including Pioneer, Akai and Wollensak. This is a "reel" hard item to find, but we have them! These are sold by the pair.

Guru Guru played in the Wartburg, a Wiesbaden hall, on September 17th, 1973. It was one of the gigs recorded by Xhol (Caravan) acquaintance Muck Krieger. His recording equipment was then state-of-the-art: an Uher tape recorder CR 124 and two Revox microphones for the stereo sound, the equipment he had used the year before (CD "Wiesbaden 1972"). The result has turned out satisfactory, although the occasional singing sounds slightly thready and reverberant. That is partly due, however, to the live sound reproduction during the gig. With its 37 minutes, "Ooga booga" leaves a lot of space for free improvisation. An ecology-inspired Krautrock album (1971) from a short-lived group comprised of German school-chums, some of whom had recorded an LP as Trikolon. Tetragon did not conform to any predetermined musical style: they played whatever they pleased, as long as it included groovy Hammond organ and very trippy, flanged wah-wah guitar, in various taut jamming modes that favored jazz/rock fusion à la Miles Davis with a small dose of classical music (adapting a Bach fugue along the way).
