Under $200 bucks with shipping and 2 year warranty. Good camera.
Pros
Cheap and Clear vibrant pictures! Simple menus. Smooth Zoom. Sturdy tight feel.
Cons
Cheapy body. Auto-Focus slow. Nite-shots need a little more light. Need "FAST" SD.

The Bottom Line:
Great for Clubs, Parties, Birthdays, Vacations, Shooting nature, and documentaries. Maybe late night commercial??? Get fast memory. Fun camera!
Looks better than my 4:3 Sharp, Jvc and Panasonic Hi8 tape players from the 1990's. Cost less and has better low light performance than the older cameras, but still not fantastic. A 40W bulb in a 15X15ft room objects in room look grainy but clear. You can adjust the ISO for brightness in low light as long as you DISABLE the anti-shake function. I Don't know why they made it like this. Records in basic 16:9 or 4:3. Can transfer to DVD using Computer. I use a Mac and the built in software works ok with video. IBM/pc based computers use the Cyberlink software that comes with it. 34x Zoom rocks! It has a very clear lens and you can read a newspaper from 10ft away! I also have a "step up" lens ring and a telephoto 2x lens. (30.5mm to 37mm you could go larger if you want). This works even better for zooming in on sports games. The bad part is the skrew threads for the camera are made of plastic and could strip or crack. The full view of the camera is almost the normal width of the human eye view. My 37mm 0.45 wide lens added an extra foot at each side of the shot of my living room. Cool! The only problem is that the auto focus wanders a lot with the added adapter lens. Even without the lens adapters the anti-shake function allowed the auto focus to wander for about 5 seconds. That was not cool! Sound does sound like stereo when played back. It has a wind cutting feature to mute blowing wind.Has good battery life. Many body colors to choose from. The case is cheapy but has a firm feel. Ergonomic for medium hands. You can get those angle shots with out worrying about dropping it, but if U do... it's cheap!!! I like the manual lens shutter protector... less moving motorized parts! Simple best explains this camera. It was made for outdoors and parties. The Autumn trees leaves look vibrant and in doors shots are good, but it does get grainy in lower light. It does adjust to light changes quickly and variations very well. Also, make sure you get a 4gb, 8gb or 16gb SD card. The size is not that important if you backup transfer daily. The speed of the SD memory is important, the faster the better. This will help with digital streaking, halts and skips in the video play back caused by fast motions. No in line still photos can be taken by this camera... not that big of a deal, use a good photo camera.
This is a good camera to use for the next 5 years. Until they put these functions in a camera phone.
Now that would be cool!
