They sell everything... just like Walmart...
Full review They have great prices and free shipping on orders $25 and up, so when I see a book I like in a store, I usually wait till I get home and order it on Amazon for a lot cheaper if I'm not in a rush to read it. They have a very wide selection. Some of the rare books are never available, but are still listed with all the publisher information, which makes it a convenient tool for tracking books down. They are very prompt with processing orders, and it is very easy to edit an order if you do it within a day. Another very convenient feature is being able to take a peek inside certain books to get a small taste of what you are buying (unfortunately, not every publisher has added this feature yet). If the book is actually from Amazon, it usually arrives relatively fast, even if its free shipping. I'm a little more skeptical with the 'merchants' selling on Amazon because sometimes it takes forever for something to arrive, but I haven't had a terrible experience with any book orders yet (just handed out a few bad seller reviews). Another plus is that they sell absolutely everything you can think of. I remember ordering a rowing machine from them before and it arrived relatively quick (and was cheap!) and works great. They also sell lingerie (the same stuff they sell at Shirley of Hollywood and other "trashy" lingerie sites, except I would much rather get it from Amazon since they have reviews on their products. The only bad experience I've seen ordering from Amazon was when a friend pre-ordered a video game from them (for Xbox 360, I think) and he didn't get it until weeks after the release date. |
