I was leary ordering my gps device from Amazon after reading the reviews here and elsewhere. They had a very good price on my Garmin Nuvi 360 (within 5% of the lowest price). Since I had positive experiences in the past, I placed the order 1/9/08 at 4:45 pm. I paid $10.99 extra for overnight shipping I received an order confirmation immediately, and a shipping confirmation with tracking info 3 hours later.

I received my item 22 hours later at 2:55 pm on 1/10/08, and I am pleasantly surprised how smooth everything went.

The item came perfectly packaged with everything I expected in the box.

I have ordered from many etailers, and I have been on the wrong end with a few companies and received poor customer service from companies that are not in business any more. I think it is a credit to Amazon to be in business as long as they have. They must be doing something right.

If people are looking for good customer service when things go wrong, then they should buy locally. Since Amazon has been around the longest, they have more negative experiences. Customers are more likely to write about a negative experience than a positive one. I am 5 for 5 with Amazon, and I will continue to order from them. I am still in shock that I received the item 22 hours later. I have had experiences when the product doesn't even ship for 5-7 days.
