No more Amazon for me either. They advertise low prices and cancel your order. I spent a good amount of money at their toy clearance the other day and my order got cancelled due to incorrect prices. Mind you they had the exact same sale this time last year. I don't understand how a company can literally incorrectly price thousands of items, advertise the sale on their homepage with a big banner, and then say it was all a mistake. I've been a loyal customer to Amazon for years, but no longer, I'd rather take my buisness to someone who can honor their advertised prices. Not to mention, my credit card has already been charged for items I'm not getting.

Price advertised on Shopping.comm was not the price listed when you went to purchase the item. It was supposedly shipped for free as well, but again there was a shipping fee added.

Hellish call centres based in the Philippines where no-one understands English. My conversations with their representative were so tortuous I nearly lost my head. Even when the language barrier was surmounted after repeatedly asking the same question, I discovered the information was wrong. They told me a Customer service number was toll-free when it was chargeable; they also told me the Call Me facility would call me back when, in fact, they refused to make calls outside the US.

I pre-ordered "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" with free shipping for my daughter as a Christmas present in 2005. After several changes in the release date (and at least one cancellation), I received another cancellation notice!!! When I contacted them (had their CS call me), I gave them the order number, my name & address, but could not remember which credit card I used (I had ordered in in mid-2005). Because of that, they would not tell me why the order was cancelled!!! They tell me that my credit card has not been charged (which I will be double checking on that!) because the item had not been shipped.
I tried removing my name & address from their site (I will never shop with them again!!!), but could not access their damn "Contact Us/Email" area. I sent it once and it said that there was an "error/URL not found" (ARRRGGGHHH!!!!) x( I will be telling EVERYONE not to go through Amazon.com!!!! They are cheats and swindlers!!! |

Horrible experience! By mistake I gave the wrong delivery address. Immediately I tried to correct this. I was told it was already being shipped. Minutes after ordering????? Are they kidding????? I was told I would have to wait a month and then try and get a refund. Actually the date they said to call and discuss the matter is 5 weeks from now. I will never use Amazon.com again!! Their customer service is not for the benefit of the customer. BEWARE!!

Ordered on 3/3/06 Its the end of the night of 3/14/06 called Fedex first to see if package was shipped they said it hadn't that they just got the Electronic Data for the package but no package. Then called Amazon it ended up that they never sent the package in the first place! (They said they did 3/8) I would avoid Amazon.com only good thing other then missing my dad's birthday present, they did give me a refund real fast.

I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ABLE TO FIND BOOKS CHEAPER ON BIZRATE.COM, PRICE GRABBER AND/OR
OVERSTOCK.COM. AMAZON ORDER DELAYED FOR MORE THAN A MONTH. WAS TOLD BY SUPERVISOR THAT I COULD RETURN WITHIN 30 DAYS FOR FULL REFUND. WHEN I TRIED TO RETURN PART OF THE ORDER THEY CLAIMED THAT I HAD RECEIVED IT EARLEIR THAN I DID AND REFUSED TO REFUND, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS WITHIN 30 DAYS. CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS RUDE AND REFUSED TO LET ME TALK TO A SUPERVISOR. THEY SAID A SUPERVISOR WOULD CONTACT ME IN 24-48 HOURS BUT NO ONE EVER CONTACTED ME. I ordered a Kett Nibbler kit on January 26, 2005. I was told it was in stock. A week later I was sent an email saying that it would be delayed until the end of February. I approved that delay and when the end of Feb came I was sent another email delaying it until the 1st week of March, I approved that delay. I have just been sent another email saying that it will not be sent until after March 10. I don't think it will ever be sent. I am canceling my order and will never order from Amazon again.

I have been an Amazon customer for years without any problems. However, I have never had to deal with their customer support (if you can call it that) before.
When I purchased a 40" LCD TV a few weeks ago, I was pretty excited. Three days later, without warning, they cancelled my order claiming a pricing error on their part. This has happened to many others as well. Amazon never shipped my item! Said my credit card had a record of suspicious activity. No other merchant had this problem. Did not notify me. Did not notify credit card company. Just did not ship! Customer service was slow and useless.

Amazon is poor service at it's best, I bought a product which offered free super saver shipping 5 to 9 days. The minute I purchased the product I get an email saying the product will ship in 6 days and I will receive it in 10 days. If they know that five minutes after I make my purchase how can they not know it before I make my purchase. A lot of online retailers offer free shipping, and it doesn't come with Amazon's apathetic, sluggish, indifferent attitude. If you can buy elsewhere do us all a favor, and please do.

I'm so tired of Amazon.com saying that items are available and "usually" ship in 24 hours but when you check-out the items are never available to ship until 6 days later plus another 6 days for shipping with their "free shipping" option. What a crock of... The other thing that upsets me about Amazon is that there is no contact information (telephone number or email address) for customer service anywhere on their website. I'm done ordering from them. Books are cheaper and shipping is much cheaper and faster with Overstock.com!

Amazon.com is so SLOW with deliveries! I ordered something on February 5 and estimated arrival to my house was March 12-30! I used to like them, they used to have good prices and fast shipping. I will not buy with them again. I had to cancel my order and shop somewhere else. I called customer service and inquired about this. She could barely speak English and was absolutely no help!!!

The other shipped a (jan 31) while back(its feb 9th now) and its going to be 2 weeks and its been in bell california twice. and still hasn't shipped. And the last dvd was suppose to take a month to ship but actually shipped earlyier. But is still waiting for usps to pick it up and ship.

My shopping at Amazon was a holy disaster. I shopped for a vacuum cleaner and it said in the selection it would be shipped in 1 to 2 weeks. It has now been one month and 8 days and I've been sent an email saying it was canceled. This was for a simple Eureka vacuum cleaner that they STILL SAY IS IN STOCK! Never again will I purchase anything, other than maybe a book, from Amazon. Never, Never, Never!

Don't pass up another sale waiting for these guys to deliver. Amazon advertised the lowest price on memory for my computer. Claimed the item normally ships within 24 hours. After I place my order, they estimated 1 1/2 weeks. 1 1/2 weeks later I get an email stating they couldn't deliver the goods and canceled my order. What a waste of time. Stay away!

Appalling customer service! I have just experienced possibly the worst service (or lack thereof) from amazon.co.uk in my life. If customer satisfaction is indeed the main driver of profitability for an organisation, then Amazon's days are surely numbered. After waiting for more than 30 days for my book order to arrive, I did not receive a response from Amazon as to where my books were. That was more than a week ago, and since then, I have sent another three emails asking for a refund, as I was forced to purchase substitute products as a result of the non-delivery of my order. Guess what? Absolute silence. This is the most frustrating customer experience I have had in recent memory. Top tip: go to a bookstore near you and buy your books there.

They sent the wrong memory card then lied to me about refunding me. I simply asked for my credit card to be credited after I returned the item to them unopened. They stated that I would receive a credit via email with a code to buy more products on their site. They never sent that email. They then stated that they had sent me a gift card; they did not send that either. They then stated that the reason they could not credit my card is because I purchased the item with a gift card. That was also not true. I purchased with my American Express credit card. I have contacted an attorney just to get Amazon.com to pay me back a measly $49.00. My attorney is pro bono or I would not bother. Please try to buy your items from an alternate website. I'm sure they have thousands of items that ship without any problems, however on the occasions where there is a problem (at least in my experience), good luck getting a refund. Dismal Customer Service.

This is a review for Amazon prime trial membership. After a month free trial, I've decided not to renew my Amazon prime membership. I certainly loved the super fast shipping but I found myself spending even more $$ at Amazon just to make use of the shipping. Every day I'd find something to buy & after a month "free trial," I've spent almost $1,000 in things I probably wouldn't have bought. So the upshot is that not only am I canceling my membership but I'm avoiding Amazon like the plague. I don't like having to pay $79 just to spend more & get the merchandise quicker. Also, I noticed prior to signing up for prime that my regular Amazon orders were taking ages to arrive. Whereas I used to receive shipments within 3-4 days, I would get them 2 weeks later. So Amazon is now telling me in essence that I should pay $79 to get what I used to get before prime came on the scene. Sorry but no more shopping at Amazon! I've removed my credit card from my account & amazon is no longer on my toolbar!

I had 3 horrible experience with Amazon in 2 years. First incident, Christmas 2005 - they guarantee product arrive before Christmas but it didn't come until the new year. When I write to customer service, they said they can't do anything. 2nd incident, I bought underwear from them and the tag was missing. they didn't accept return because they said it's not their fault. 3rd time, placed order for a pair of shoes on Nov 9 and they keep sending email to ask me to approve delay shipment. Now it's almost February and I still didn't get them. When I wrote to them, they said it was lost in shipment while my order tracker said it's still "Not Shipped Yet". Again, wrote to them 3 times and they said they can't do anything about it. So, based on these 3 experience, I will never come back. I think I have had enough patient on them. If you want to buy from some place that offer the "Sorry, we can't do anything" customer service, go for Amazon.com and you will be 200% satisfied!

I ordered 34 items in 5 different orders. 1 of my orders was completely canceled without notification. 3 of the remaining 4 orders had items removed by Amazon.com throughout the day, also without any notification. All of my orders qualified for the FREE shipping since they were all over $25.00. Amazon removing items from my orders cause the totals of 3 of my 4 remaining orders to drop below $25.00, so they tacked on outrageous shipping charges without my knowledge and without notifying me. I sent 4 emails and received no response. I then decided to call twice and nobody would explain to me my options. I was not going to pay $40.00 in shipping charges for $10 worth of merchandise 4 times. They treated me like I was a complete idiot. |

Amazon sucks. I ordered a couple of items from this store and they gave me a delivery date after more than 2 months. And this was never mentioned when I placed my order. I never expected such kind of business from Amazon. I would prefer to spend more money and rather buy from some other store. Don't trust Amazon. They LIE.
