I'm out $150.00 due to bad return policy and NO customer service
Full review DO NOT buy a gift (or anything else) from Buy.com! They have a ridiculously short return time, so if you hold on to your gift for a week or two, the recipient will not be able to return it if defective. My husband gave me a defective gift and we're out $150.00 because he gave it to me more than 2 weeks after he got it. So much for shopping early. After dealing with a call center in the Phillipines where they have to no authority to do anything customer service related, I googled Buy.com and got about a thousand pages of criticism. The good news is that all the disgruntled buyers before me had done their research and were able to give me corporate office information: Buy.com 85 Enterprise, Suite 100 Aliso Viejo, CA 92656 Phone: 949-389-6439 Fax: 949-389-2837 First I was transferred to someone named Lauren. I think she is the VP of Finance. Probably not the correct person to call. I called back and explained very clearly that I wanted to be transferred to someone in customer service in CALIFORNIA. I was transferred to Jamie, who then told me her name was Jane when I asked at the end of the call. Interesting. Haven't heard back yet, but at this point I will be surprised if this purchase will end up giving me nothing but a pain in the butt. |
