THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE - BUYER BEWARE DO NOT USE BUY.COM. So here's my story, I go and buy a keyboard from them, where there is NO indication that the item I will receive is going to be a returned/open item. According to the website, I was to receive a NEW item. Upon receiving the item, I of course do NOT open it at all, call them the following day and the agent tells me, "Oh, no problem!!! This was supposed to be a new item. Go ahead and return it to us w/our prepaid shipping label. We will notify the manufacturer you are to receive a new one and we'll ship it off to you". I'm over here thinking wow, they aren't as bad as everyone says!
Why is it a week later I get an email saying that they have refunded me $23 LESS than what I paid for the entire item. I call back, and I get from the customer service agent "Once a refund has been issued we cannot do anything." I explain to him that I never requested a refund, I wanted a replacement. If you can't do anything I want my money back, I say. He puts me on hold for 10 min to talk to his supervisor, and all he comes back w/is sorry I can't help you and I'll run this by the refund department to TRY to get you the rest of the money. Then I demand to speak to the supervisor, who is "busy" on another call...Yea probably dealing with another angry customer. Supposedly she is going to call me.
I will be following up in 2 days with the refund department. If I do not see results, I will be complaining to the Better Business Bureau. They need to be shut down.
pros: easy to order and take your money
cons: worst customer service ever and not clear descriptions of exactly WHAT you will be receiving in the mail
Other online sites are MUCH better.
