Terrible! Buy.com does not understand the definition of Customer Service. I attempted to contact this company with two questions regarding my order via email and received nothing but canned email messages generating a real loyalty toward this company. Each response was nothing more than a Thank you for submitting a message to Customer Service acknowledgement. I am so frustrated dealing with Buy.com I have decided to purchase the same item from a competitor and paid a little more. Stay away for this company unless you are really into this type of negative treatment.

Sunday afternoon I placed on-line order...

Sunday afternoon I placed on-line order for an Intel P4 EE 3.73GHz 1066MHz FSB CPU from BUY.COM based on "In Stock Usually Ships in 1 to 2 business days" status on their web site. Rec'd automated status report that my order was "Sent to Warehouse".
Four days later rec'd eMail advising, "We are still working on shipping your order". Replied instructing them to cancel my order as I intend to secure it elsewhere. Rec'd following response: "We apologize for the delays. We have submitted your cancellation REQUEST to our fulfillment center for APPROVAL. Your request is under processing. Please remember that this is a REQUEST ONLY, and your order still may ship while this request is being processed. You'll receive an email confirming or denying the cancellation request for this order WITHIN THE NEXT FEW BUSINESS DAYS. <emphasis added>
Sooo... unless I wanted two $1000 CPUs, I had to wait another day or two. Rec'd official cancellation eMail Friday at 2:15PM.
Bottom line: I wasted a week waiting for BUY.COM to fulfill my order and then cancel it. I placed an order for same item from NEWEGG.COM (at a lower price!) on Friday afternoon and had it Monday!
Im willing to give everyone a second chance, but this is the second time BUY.COM has mislead me regarding Items in Stock not being available. Screw me once; Shame on you. Screw me twice; shame on me. Never again will I buy from BUY.COM.

THERE WAS COLOR CARTRIDGE INSIDE ONLY, WHERE'S BLACK INK?
I ORDERED USB CABLE, TOO. I STILL WAITING FOR MY CABLE
NOW.AND I SENT THE E-MAIL TO ASK HOW COULD I DO , YOU KNOW!
NOBODY ANSWER ME.

Buy.com gave the appearance that they had the item in stock, but in actuality, there wasn't any. It wasted my time placing an order that Buy.com could not fill. What they should have done, was state at their web site that the item was on backorder, or state that the item was not available at this time. But no, they just said it would mail the item within 2-days after receiving my order which I paid witha charge card over a secured web site. The Buy.Com web site showed a VeriSign icon. When ordering anything on line, if the VeriSign Icon appears on the bottow of retail sales web sites, I only purchase products from web sites that have this VeriSign seal. Which pretty much means that they are a stable company and not some scam to steal your money. I never had a problem with any web site that had VeriSign before. Buy.com had the icon, which led me to believe that this web site was safe to order from, and was a reliable source for the kind of products I was looking for. I just hope when the Best Buy store that plans to open in Hawaii doesn't run their store like their web site. At this point in time, fi Buy.com cannot send me what I ordered, I will tell everyone I know about their poor sales, where they advertise the product is for sale, when it's not even stocked in the store. Thus putting my order in suspended mode, and just keep say it's backordered. Had they stated so a the time I sent my order and payment, that they didn't have the product and it was on backorder indefinitely, I would not have purchased it. Indefinitely is a long and vague time when the product would be available. They could be unavailable for years, then what? Other competitor on-line stores, state that the product is not in stock, and they give you an estimated time of arrival. Deceiving people that the product is here and for sale, is not the way to go about selling products. Hope they are more honest in the future.

Download does not work. Since item cost me a whopping .99 cents, does it really make sense to waste my time with customer service? I'll take my business elsewhere. Customer service section on buy.com conatains pointless information that is of no use to me. Good riddance, buy.com!!

After anxiously waiting(for at least a week) for the product, I received an email telling me that my credit card would not be charged; and the product was out of stock. No further information was given as to whether I should try later, they would notify me when the product was in stock, or another alternative.
