Exchanges? More like a return with no credit.
by figmentia, December 6, 2004
I actually got a present from someone, but the sizes weren't right. I contacted customer service, and they said they would be "More than happy to make the exchange." I didn't want a return. I simply wanted the right size. So I sent my merchandise back to them. 12 weeks later, and multiple e-mails, I have yet to hear anything back from them, 'nor have I received any packages with the correctly-sized merchandise back from them.
<br>
<br>
I won't be ordering anything through them again - I can't stand companies that rip off the customer, and aren't even apologetic for it.
<br>
<br>
Update: After a complaint through the Better Business Bureau, cafepress.com finally replied, and has now satisfied my complaint. Granted, they could've done this months before they did, and avoided a complaint through the BBB - but some companies like to take the road less traveled.

Dishonest, rip-off, poor quality, poor service, and entirely unreliable.
by one_cool_cust, September 16, 2007
Awful customer service. We failed to collecting any money from them when setting up an on-line store. They, however, made quite a bit from us.

WORSE ONLINE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
by rmct99, December 23, 2003
POOR!!!!! Expensive shipping, little-to-no customer service, and had to process a refund through my credit card company. I placed an order December 6th and as of December 22nd, it still hasn't arrived. Many emails went unanswered. After wait on hold for over an hour, I was told I could NOT get a refund, and all they would was reship the order. To top it off, THEY WANTED ME TO REPAY SHIPPING COSTS!!!! I told them I was intending on used the items as christmas gifts I was basically told "tough s**t, take it up with our shipping company." but of course they wouldn't give me my reference number for their shipping company. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!

very poor
by luluhow, December 14, 2006
So far this has been the worst on-line shopping experience I have ever encountered. I placed my order November 11th. On November 27th I called to check on my order and then again the first of December. I got their spill about how dark shirt need more time to dry, blah,blah,blah. They changed my shipping to 2-day. It is December 14th and I still haven't received the order. When I checked on my order on their site, it still says ready for production. Their customer service 1-800 people only read from this site undoubtedly because they can only tell you what is written there - that the "shirts are in production". Two of the shirts I ordered were a special request by my college age child and I am really upset that it looks like they will not be here for Christmas even though I ordered them in plenty of time to get here for Christmas.
<br>
<br>
Most of the positive reviews, I noticed, are by other sellers that use Cafepress. Several of the negative are by actual consumers. It is my opinion, the sellers could do their customer a favor by not using Cafepress.

Awful, awful product
by ep9741, December 3, 2006
I made the fatal error of buying an imprinted sweatshirt for a Christmas gift & not opening it before their 30 day return window closed. Silly me. The thing wouldn't have fit a doll & the graphic imprint was utterly pathetic.

<br>
When I contacted them, I got the expected "na - na na - na - na . . .

Incredibly poor service
by smmbrown, December 22, 2006
I ordered an ash gray t-shirt as a gift for my husband on Dec. 9th. According to the CafePress. com website, the shirt was in-stock and would ship with in three days. After a full week, I still had not received my order, so I emailed Customer Service. I wanted to know why the item was listed as "In Production" on the Order Status page. Instead of getting a personal reply, I got an automated message that my order had finally been shipped--no explanation to the "In Production" question nor an explanation as to why my order went out six days later than it should have. As it stands, it is thirteen days since I placed my order and it is now stuck somewhere in Maryland.

I DO NOT recommend purchasing items form cafepress.
by notsosunny, May 25, 2008
I've been super excited about the pug merchandise on cafepress for several months now. I just bought a new car and thought a license plate from that says "I heart my Pug" would be so cute! I have type I diabetes, so i also bought a "Divabetic" tank and a

Great products but high shipping costs scare off customers
by chenein, December 10, 2005
CafePress is great, but almost unusable for international shoppers (I am Canadian) due to high shipping costs.
<br>
<br>
For a recent order, the price for CafePress shipping was OVER 4 TIMES more expensive than the comparable US mail rate to Canada. The price for CafePress shipping was $20 more than UPS next day air, yet CafePress takes 6-8 days to arrive.
<br>
<br>
There is no reasonably fast shipping option for Canadian orders, yet UPS delivers here just fine and CafePress ships UPS to US customers upon request.
<br>
<br>
Their rates are an obvious cash grab, at worst, or very poor work on the part of selecting couriers, at best.
<br>
<br>
CafePress high shipping prices scare off Canadian customers. I would recommend another solution if you want to appeal to other than US shoppers until CafePress resolves this problem.

I ordered two maternity shirts (one tank and one t-shirt) as a gift for a friend. The tank was so small it fit me and I weigh 120 and NOT PREGNANT. The screens on the shirts were faded and they looked so cheap. On the plus side for this website I did receive my order very quick, and they refunded me with no hassle. I just wish the quality was better.

Order was lost, Replies from them were slow, Item was Cheaply Made
by charlalee, June 14, 2004
They have some really unique items so I purchased a hat for $20 from them. I paid for 10 day shipping but after 15 days I hadn't received my item. When I Emailed them they replied with a UPS tracking number that didn't work. I Emailed them about this and they replied with the SAME info. I had to Email again, only to find out that they shipped my hat Snail mail. Why they sent me UPS tracking I don't know?
<br>
<br>
I could not log onto my account during this time and when I contacted them, they never answered my question about this problem. Finally after getting really annoyed I demanded a credit on my account. They sent me an Email saying they would re-send my item but I didn't want to wait 10 more days. I requested overnight but it took them 2 more days to reply to me.
<br>
<br>
The item finally came (They sent me two rather than one) but it was very thin and not worth what I paid. Overall I would not buy from them again because the trouble was not worth it.

Good selection, bad customer service
by ogdenmom, February 12, 2008
Cafe Press is a fun idea with some good products. You can buy a product that says just about anything in just about any form. Hats, shirts, mugs, pins, pens, anything you want can be personalized. There are a lot of different saying and images. There

The biggest, but not the best
by nbostaph, September 25, 2002
I have over 30 stores setup with CP, but will soon discontinue my use of them. I'm doing this for a variety of reasons. I'll try to outline below.
<br>
<br>
First, in case you're not aware, CP allows you to place any image onto a mug, mousepad, etc.

Eventually fixed bad service
by weenie57, April 16, 2006
Very poor customer service. They simply do not respond when you have something you need to return. I'm disgusted.
<br>
<br>
Item arrived on time, but is SO SMALL it's ridiculous. It is a women's large t-shirt and it would not fit an average 6 year old.
<br>
<br>
There are no instructions on the invoice for returns. You have to call or email. I emailed three times int he last 4 days and have heard nothing back yet. When I call the office is closed.
<br>
<br>
The poorest customer service I've ever experienced in on-line shopping.
<br>
<br>
UPDATE: Cafepress both refunded me my money and sent me a larger shirt. I was very satisfied with that.

Caveat emptor. Check prices.
by shimmertje, January 17, 2005
I decided to become a member in 2003 as I had a lot of photos - why not put them on t-shirts and other stuff like Cafepress suggested, and make some money off it? All I would need to spend would be their yearly subscription fee. It was pretty fun

Good for the consumer but artists should use caution.
by artisttype, July 17, 2005
There are several ways to evaluate Cafe Press. For some consumers it may be a great thing, perfect for printing college reunion T-shirts or baseball jerseys. This review looks at Cafepress from the standpoint and concerns of an artist looking to sell
