***** I STRONGLY URGE EVERYONE TO ***NEVER*** PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM CRUTCHFIELD!! *****
Full review ************************************************************ November 21st, 2,006 I very Recently Purchased from Crutchfield a "Brand New" Onkyo Receiver / Amplifier TX-8522 and The Tuner was COMPLETELY DEFECTIVE. This is the Second "Brand New" Product that I purchased from Crutchfield in the last 2 years that I have had a Problem with. I have put in Much time, Effort with All the Calls calling Crutchfield Sales & Technical Departments, unpacking, setting up, Labeling, writing down serial #'s, waiting for UPS to show up at my House multiple times And Other things. Crutchfield is Not willing to compensate me in some manner for all the waste of My Precious time. I have an Illness where I need to spend anywhere from 4 to 6 hours a day / night in the Bathroom. So My time is very Valuable to me. If I wanted to get Defective Items & save hundreds of dollars then I could shop at Brandsmart USA. This is the Second And Last Product that I will ever Purchase from Crutchfield (unless they Compensate me in some way for all the loss of my time, Which I have to do ALL that stuff ALL Over Again!) And I will Continue do Document my Unsatisfactory Experiences on the Internet Regarding Crutchfield (who are Supposed to be Reputable!) So they lose money to equal out my loss of time! I will Never Purchase Anything from Crutchfield ever again & I STRONGLY URGE EVERYONE to do the same or YOU WILL BE SORRY!! Crutchfield is ***NOT*** a company that is reputable!! ************************************************************ In December, I contacted the Crutchfield Corporate Offices to explain my situation with the product(s) that I have purchased from them and the Many problems that I have had with their electronics. So they banned / stopped me from calling them. They told me that I can Not call their technical support, customer service department or Corporate Offices. I regular mailed them out 2 letters to their Corporate Offices within the past 2 months & have not received any replies from them. Crutchfield is banning me from calling them when they are the ones that are selling Defective products, have people working there in their technical support department that do Not know what they are doing. A lady name Aleta Childress in their corporate offices said to me & I Quote "Maybe I Looked At The Receiver The Wrong Way" Unquote when I called them back in November to tell them about the Tuner. So Crutchfield are the ones who are turning around this situation & making me out to be the bad one when I paid for Lifetime Technical Support & I an Not Allowed to call their company for all of their problems / incompetence. And I am the one who continually has All this Aggravation! ************************************************************ ***** UPDATE FEBRUARY 25th, 2,007 - SUNDAY ***** ********************************************************** Today, I turned on my Receiver / Amplifier the one I purchased from Crutchfield and the Power to it cut off 5 times after having it on for a minute & a half each time. This is a New Problem. I took my Cd Recorder (the one that I purchased from Crutchfield & had to be Repaired a couple of years ago) & plugged it directly into the wall outlet and the Power is continuing to cut off on this Onkyo Receiver. So Tomorrow I am going to Call Crutchfield, Onkyo & Sony to tell them that I am not paying for this thing. I have only had it 4 Months & it is having More problems. This receiver has a 2 year warranty. I have 6 months with No Payments And No Interest with this receiver from Sony Card. I haven't made any payments as of yet. And I plan on sending this back & getting completely Credited for the amount that I am being billed! I will purchase another receiver / amp from another company. A company that I do ***NOT*** continually to have problems with! ******** I AM NEVER GOING TO PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM CRUTHFIELD AGAIN AND I STRONGLY URGE YOU ALL TO SO THE SAME! YOU MAY BE VERY SORRY IF YOU DO! ******** ************************************************************ |
