Impossible delivery system.
Full review Misleading and long delivery times. Go elsewhere if time is an issue. 3 Day delivery is turning into a 9 day process. I ordered a camera on the 24th in the comfortable assumption that with 3-5 day shipping it would arrive by the second, the last day before my departure. Order confirmation did not arrive until the 26th. (The nice young woman in India said: "Well it takes 24-48 hours for the order to go through") Delivery confirmation came later indicating that the order would arrive on the third, the day I depart for the business trip for which the camera is required. Spending 45 minutes on the phone to get the tracking number, not as indicated provided in the confirmation mail, I find that the camera may be delivered on the 2nd. I may be available. They offered to send it to another address, where I will not be either. I had spoken at the same time with a Dell representative who explained that it would take longer to get a computer here, since they have to be built to specifications. This I understand and therefor decided to get one off the rack. There is no indication during the order process, however, that the delivery time would be dependent on Dell's apparent back log in order processing. I am sending the shipment back and demanding full reimbursement. I will not, needless to say, be ordering the further laptops we need from this company. NOTE: While it was easy to order the product, I am giving that a "Difficult" rating, since the information required to make a competent choice was not available. I would not have ordered given that. |
