I have ordered from Onecall twice now, both times with success. Both items were big ticket, the first was a Canon Optura Pi camcorder, and the other was a Toshiba 42H81 HD projection set.

As for the ordering process, there are really two parts to it, the web method and the phone method. While I have browsed their web site many times, when it came to buying I used the phone. I will get to my reasons in a moment.

The web site is good, I would give it a 4 out of 5. The selection is good, with price and availability being easy to find. The only downside is common to any site with such a wide selection... sometimes finding exactly what you want takes a bit of time. However, I can tell onecall is trying address this issue by making selection 'wizards'. It definitely helps. The checkout screens seem average.

However, as I said before, I have used the phone to order both the items I have bought. Two reasons why: 1st. I have found the reps that I have talked to are genuinely knowledgable about the products. They have been quite helpful in discussing the merits of a product vs. a different product. 2nd. The price becomes better. In both cases, the prices quoted over the phone were lower than the ones published on the website. I highly recommend that anyone who wishes to purchase from Onecall use the phone and see if they can get a lower price. This may not work in all cases, I imagine that lower price items do not have as much room to play. However, you certainly can't loose by trying.

Something I liked about Onecall is that while the rep mentioned optional equipment for me to purchase with my main item, they never crossed the line between helpful and pushy. I have dealt with other online stores who didn't even know the line existed, let alone which side they should be on. Another nice thing is that shipping charges were reasonable and not overinflated.

After ordering comes my only complaint. This is why I give them 4 instead of 5 stars overall. In both cases I did not get any email confirming my order or giving me tracking information. However, in both cases I contacted them and they provided the information quickly. But... bottom line, this should be something standard, you shouldn't need to ask for it.

The items ordered both arrived in the time advertised and in perfect condition. I was particularly worried about the Toshiba Widescreen TV, but it arrived a day early and with not a scratch on it.

Overall, I feel confident in recommending Onecall. They have a solid reputation and all I can say is that it is well deserved. I would not hesistate to buy something from them again.
