I tried to shop at New Egg, had a terrible experience using my credit card on their site. Was very happy with my experience at Ritz because they took my order over the phone. Product arrived on time, in good condition. Thanks!

The company uses a "bate and switch" You order an item and they call and try sell other additional items. Complete honesty is not the high point of the sale. more profit for over priced merchandise is.

We received an email on May 27 asking for us to call RitzCamera to confirm our purchase. We called on May 28. Since then, we have received no information from Ritz, so we don't know yet what time to expect the arrival of our order. Our order # is 2063473.

I chose to call in my order & ask for some advice/ guidance. The sales person, Barry, did an excellent job of giving guidance & taking my order. Would hope to get him again should I call in for a future order. The Web site was well organized & provided plenty of information about the Nikon D40 & all the accessories. The "No Sales Tax or Shipping Charge" policy was a big factor in buying from RitzCamera.com. A very satisfying experience.

It was a very pleasant experience. I used the on-line chat and was very pleased with the outcome. They were not able to answer my question but they certainly tried. The items have not been received from the manufacturer yet but Ritz has kept me informed.

The first two orders were received on time,, but I had difficulty making the selection because of the similarity of the items being purchased. It would have been better if there was an indication on the screen that indicated that an item was ALREADY IN (or not yet placed in) my cart. I made 2 subsequent purchases of the nestabilities a few days later because I had missed them on the first order (or they were out of stock,) got confirmation of the order but was then notified that there was a problem with the order. When I called, the first customer service rep said that the distributor did not mail out to Hawaii and Puerto Rico!!!! I called again was told the same thing by another CR but explained that that it could not be true because I had just received a similar order the day before. I was told that he would check and called me back a few minutes later saying that he would be trying to process the order. I have yet to receive any indication of the status of my order....
The prices are good. If I were purchasing only one or two things, it would not have been so bad, but there are three screens of Nestabilities to select from. It was not easy...

Think you need to add "not sure" or "maybe" to question #7. I ordered the camera on a Friday morning, my time and asked for overnight delivery. What I got was an email asking me to call. It arrived in the afternoon but I called back and he told me that he was sending the order to shipping. Saturday morning I got a call asking me the same questions. I told him I had answered the questions the day before. He argued with me saying I had not. Could not understand him very well. Talked to supervisor. Since it was too late for Saturday delivery I was promised that I would get on the two day delivery. I thought that meant Monday. Actually got it on Tuesday, five days after the order. So, I may or may not use Ritz again. There are other companies out there! And one other thing. On the web page for the camera, I ordered what I thought was the correct UV filter for the lens. It needed a 72mm filter. I thought the filter that was showing was the correct filter since I did not see any indication of size on the lens. Well, it was not, so I ended up buying a 42mm filter. Now I have to find the correct filter. Would have thought the right one would have been linked to the lens. Guess it is true: Buyer beware!!!!

i ordered the lens 2 weeks before I needed it and did not receive it for over a month. My e-mail enquirey was not answered to my satisfaction. I can't believe that this item could not have been obtained from some source. If this is the way Nikon treats it's authorized suppliers than you should all complain or boycott them. And the product is now made in China!

I was satisfied with the service but I wouldn't order online again. I tried to order online but couldn't communicate properly with the live chat person, he had a difficult time understanding that we do not have home mail delivery and that our bill to and delivery addresses are not the same. At one point we had three orders charged to our card. It took two phone calls to straighten it out and I feel that if I'd ordered by phone in the first place it would have saved us all a lot of time and trouble. Otherwise, the service was good and I'm satisfied with the product.

They are one of the first to have SCHMX20C high definition flash memory camcorder in stock. I was impressed with that. I ordered it on a saturday, shipped monday got it thursday.fast shipment service. Didn't try to sell me other add ons that I didn't need.
