The camera was defective. I wanted to exchange it at the local store where I purchased cameras before, but there is no connection between the two. This is unlike Best Buy and Circuit City, which is very helpful when there are problems. I purchase a good amount of electronic stuff because I have five children. I have never had the poor customer service as I have had at Ritz Camera. Last year I purchased a digital camera. I went back to the store with a problem and they tried to get me to pay $130.00 for the lens repair or the same price to replace it with a new camera. The $210 dollar camera I bought was now reduced to that price. The store owner never even advised me to use my warranty, which was still good. Now, I bought another digital camera that is defective, and I can't get it exchanged after only one month!!!!. The exchange period is only ten days!!! That is ridiculous. I purchased the camera for my daughter who is away at college. I told her to bring it home on Winter Break. Then the customer service people are arguing with me that it is too late. They insist that this exchange policy was written in the receipts received with the camera. Who cares? You should notify people at the time of purchase!
Now I have to deal with Olympus, which is such a big hassle. They have this bulky paper system. My daughter needs the camera particularly now during her school vacation when she is home for only a month.

The experiance was very poor. Emails are not returned in a timely maner and I am still waiting two weeks for a refund on a defective item that I paid for right away.

My purchase ws held for 10 days because of a free gift that went w/purchase was out of supply. When I called on 11-16-07 (Friday) I was told about the problem and asked for them to please send the camera anyway it was a birthday gift. I also asked if I could have the item overnighted and was told for a fee of $26.95 and I accepted the fee...again this was a bithday gift for my husband. Before I hung up w/ rep I asked will I have this by Wednesday (nov 21) and he said you will have this on Tuesday. How do you think I felt when it wasn't here by Wednesday? How do you think I felt when it arrived on Friday Nov 23 with the obvious Fed Ex Ground stickers on it? That's not even trying. And tried to blame the weather????? I had to go out into the same weather that you cited in order to buy a gift...the day before Thanksgiving...we call it windy here,not bad weather. Good grief. Good Luck to you because you are going to need it in order to survive out there in the internet world. But, don't expect any business from me. I don't like liars.

I am very unhappy with the quality of customer service that I have been recieving. I have called evry other day for the past week and a half and low and behold I always get the same answer. There is nothing we can do, I will send your order to the person that is handling these products and you shall recieve it in 24-48 hours. It has been over two weeks and I have still not received my product. Horrible, I will never shop with ritzcamera.com again. Infact I just finished sending my report to BBB.org.

Ordering process online was easy, but the phone service is terrible. My item arrived damaged, I returned it based on instructions given by Ritz. After the package was delivered back I waited for my new set. It had been close to a month since I had started this whole process and had nothing to show. I called to find out when it would arrive and got the run around and was told they didn't even know where my package was. I finally asked for a refund after arguing with the manager. I was told it would only take 2 days for a refund, which was a lie. After 2 days I called back to see where my money was and was informed the refund was not issued. I was told it was done righ then on the phone, which was also a lie because it took 6 days for my money to be returned. This is the WORST service and return process I have ever experienced. I am extremely dissatisfied and want this further rectified.

I was discriminated against because I live in Canada. If I was american I would have been eligible for a $20 discount. I was also not offered the 7% discount I am entitled to as a student of NYiP. I tried to have the item shipped to my brother's american address but that also did not work.
Will I shop again at RitzCamera? ... in a word ... NO!

Ritz Camera in any form will NEVER recieve any business from me again. Futhermore, I will advise everybody against from shopping at ur using any service provideed by Ritz Camera.
I placed an order, added $40 for priority overnight shipping. It took 5 days to recieve my order. There is no way to independently track your order via a tracking number, Ritz Camera refuses to provide tracking numbers. I spoke to customer service multiple times and was given a pure run around and was hung up upon on 2 occasions.

After I canceled the order and received written confirmation of cancelation, they shipped the $400 camera anyhow. Then they stalled for nearly a week before they would finally send me a return authorization. They kept claiming "the camera was sent by a 3rd party" thus Ritz couldn't send return authorization (?!) They had to "wait to hear from the third party... " and that 3rd party just never responded to their request. It did not make any sense. They took no responsibility at all in the matter which was their error to begin with.
(Of course, the camera was mailed FROM Ritz, and returned TO Ritz so what were they talking about anyhow?)
Once they had the camera back, they absolutely refused to refund my money for another week. "The return process takes 6-10 business days". It was a nightmare. Their customer service reps are very polite BUT they just keep hitting the "I apologize for this inconvenience" button and "I apologize but this is our policy button". One supervisor ("Lee") was helpful in getting the return authorization, the others were stuck in the Ritz Stalling Procedure. They made the initial mistake of sending me the camera, and then kept me waiting for "their process" to be complete before refunding my money. It was a very unpleasant experience with a very big company.
* Incidentally some of the questions above which I had to check are totally non-applicable to this case.

My package was damaged in transit. It never reached me. I am still waiting for a refund. The tracking by FedEx clearly shows that the package was turned around by Fed Ex before it ever reached the state I live in. It also shows it was returned and received by RitzCamera almost a month ago. Because the package was damaged some of the contents were missing(per a written report I received from FedEx, via fax). While the claims process is being completed Ritz is making me wait for my refund. I am the customer! It seems Ritz should wait and I should have received a refund immediately! Phone reps are rude! Everything is entirely to slow, they need to get with technology! It takes days for the warehouse to get info to their customer service reps. WHERE IS THIER CUSTOMER SERVICE? THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!! I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH RITZCAMERA.COM AGAIN, AND WILL PASS THE WORD ALONG !!

The product I recieved was not as advertised (did not have right angle plugs), and while I do not think it was Ritz fault - they still made the return process unbearable. I waited 5 weeks for a return number and then never recieved it by email like i was told i would be and I paid for the return shipping myself even though I was told I would get the RMA form (still havent recieved it). Made at least 7 calls to make a very simple return. I will never order from them again, only getting help last week from ONE nice employee.

Ritz Camera delivered the worst performance possible. For my husband's Christmas gift:
1. 12/12 I purchased the item and Ritz never told me it was not in stock.
2. 12/19 After hearing nothing for 7 days, I sent a status request on the item and received no reply.
3. 12/21 Ritz/Google finally sent an email stating the item had shipped.
4. 12/24 I inquired via email on the whereabouts of the item. Several days later, I received a reply stating that if i did not receive a reply in 48 hours, to write again.
5. 1/3 After writing again with no replies, I finally reached Ritz's call center in India to be told a) the item had never shipped; b) the item was not even in stock; c) the item was actually in stock indefinitely, and d) ritz could do nothing about the problem.
I had to speak with a manager (only available at the call center in India) who didn't seem phased by the fact I'd bought a Christmas gift that had never arrived, but finally agreed to return the item.
I agreed to buy an item for over twice the cost, because that was the only item in stock.
During the call, I requested overnight shipping to clear up the matter and get the new item as quickly as possible.
6. 1/12 Nine (9) days later, I finally received the item.
7. As a follow up, I also went into a Ritz store to find the item I could not buy online, and was told the item could be easily a year or longer wait before I received it. Ritz Interactive could have been honest about all of this in the first place, but instead they gave erroneous information, showed no concern for holiday deadlines, and took as long as possible to correct the problem.
Ritz should have:
1) Notified me immediately that the item was not in stock.
2) Given me option to decline the purchase based on it's unavailability.
Because Rtiz failed to do these things, they ruined my husband's Christmas present. I will never use Ritz Interactive again.

They told me the CANON A530 POWERSHOT DIGITAL CAMERA was in stock, then told me it was backordered but would be shipped on Dec 14 and now (Jan 07,2007) I check the status and it says "line was cancelled". No email or phone call to tell me the order is canalled. This kind of customer service is unacceptable.

They said the scanner was in stock. Then they IMMEDIATELY told me after I placed my order that it was NOT. Then, they had the nerve to send me an email saying that it "may or may not be delivered within 30 days, we'll refund your $ if we end up never sending it to you".
I canceled the order and they sent me half my order anyway and STILL said they were showing the other half as "current".
It took 2 phone calls and 3 emails to try and cancel everything successfully. I have yet to receive a refund two weeks later.

they wont let you talk to a supv. They lie saying that it is being delivered as we speak. It was to be delivered and i paid extra for 2 day delivery on 12/18 and to this day 1-4 a truck still hasnt delivered it and ritz could care less because they have my money and intend on keeping it whether or not the product arrives. they are thieves!!! and i am done trying to talk to them. I even called the ceo and i guess the ceo makes money off of people that they keep money from because i never recieved a call from the ceo either.. go figure!!!! terrible company to deal with.. so i will never recommend ritz, kits or wolf camera.

Ordered camera package online during special promotion. But found out weeks later (after the promotion had ended) that the package had been discontinued. Was not informed of this issue, only discovered it when checking my order status and finding a cryptic message. After I contacted them I received emails about the status. If I had been promptly informed I may have purchased a different package during the promotion. Purchased the camera from another retailer. Won't shop or recommend ritz any longer...
