A positive example of an Amazon.com merger
Full review Ah, Target, I know thee well; in my college days, I worked as a part-time Target employee on and off for six years. Target.com has now merged with Amazon.com, and Target items are crosslisted on Amazon. Many in-store items are available for purchase, and there are frequently free shipping deals and sales, in addition to 10% off online Target.com discounts from AAA and Border's Rewards. The several Target.com orders that I've placed were all super-easy (I signed in with my Amazon.com username and password), shipped on time for the most part, and arrived in good condition. You can also return Target.com purchases to any Target store. The Target.com website offers an expanded collection of its in-store offerings, particularly in home decorations such as upscale USA-made wall tapestries and Tiffany lamps. The only negative I've encountered has been one or two orders where the item was was listed as in stock, but was backordered for weeks, before being told that it was unavailable. Also, there was a recent item I wanted to purchase, but when I went back the next day, it was no longer available. However, this is more an inventory issue. Another neat feature is the ability to print off Club Wedd wedding registries and baby shower registries from the Target.com website; this eliminates the hassle of trying to do so from frequently-broken in-store kiosks, although your local store's aisle numbers may not be listed. Overall, I've been pleased with my Target.com purchases. |
