I ordered the magellan roadmate 760 about 4 days later no confirmation #. I call the site they said that there was no record of my order. I called head quarter they told me my order was stuck in the computer. They said that the product was out of stock, and need to be back order. I checked the website and they still posted the product availability. I decided to cancel my order. Bad experience.

This was a major disaster!
First of all, the web site didn't function when I tried to order on-line, so I wound up calling the order in. The site said that it was in stock, This was on a Thursday. On Friday I noticed that I didn't receive a shipping notice, which I thought was unusual for an "in-stock" item. So I called their cust service line and was told that it was coming from their "distribution network" and had no idea how long it would be.
On Tuesday I received an e-mail telling me that it was back-ordered. I sent an e-mail back asking how long the back order was and got no response. On Wednesday I received another e-mail telling me that the item I ordered was actually a REFURBISHED item and if I wanted to cancel my order to let them know. Well of course I wanted to cancel! So I did and even got an acknowledgement on Thursday that it was canceled. The final straw was when I came to work on Monday morning I had an e-mail telling me that my item was shipped on Friday! HELLO???? I mean how much more can they mess up on a single order? This is the worst on-line experience I've ever had and I've bought many things on-line, including a $2,000 plasma TV.

i RECIEVED AN EMAIL NOTIFICATION THAT INCLUDED THE PRICE I EXPECTED TO PAY, THE NEXT DAY I RECIEVED ANOTHER EMAIL WITH A THIRTY DOLLAR INCREASE IN PRICE, CALLED THE COMPANY AND WAS TOLD I WOULD GET IT FOR THE ORIGINAL PRICE. RECIEVED MY CREDIT CARD BILL TODAY, THEY CHARGED MY CARD THE PRICE FROM THE SECOND EMAIL. WILL NOT DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN, AND IF THIS WAS NOT A GIFT I WOULD SEND IT BACK.

After the item was still not shipped after 10 days I call the 800 number they said part of the order was back logged. Knowing that the item only came in one box a set, I know they were not telling the truth, plus they cound not even give an estamate saying the the Manugacture ships to them I will got it. Very poor English I had to try and understand.

Ordred the Minolta 5D from the web site and received an email two day later that the Minolta 5D was no longer available and out of stock and the order was canceled by email. The same camera and free stuff is still on the web site over a week later. Why????
Was not able to update my personal information on the web site. Will not order from Camera World Again.

When this camera was ordered on September 29, I printed out my order confirmatin that was sent by email to me. It had nothing on it to indicate that a follow up phone call was going to be needed. We requested this camera be shipped overnight. I was extremely busy on that Friday and agin on Monday morning with payroll responsibilities. It was not until Monday afternoon that I had time to check emails and find one that said I need to call CameraWorld to confirm my order--or I should say reconfirm my order--I already had an order confirmation. After talking to someone in customer serivce I asked to speak to her supervisor because the answers she was giving me were not acceptable. She said she would transfer me, but all she did was put me on hold. When I finally hung up and called back the second person was of no more help. He only kept saying they sent me an email and left me a voice message--"so sorry". Well there was no voice message to me and the questions I kept asking, which no one could answer was, "WHY did this take a follow up phone call? WHY wasn't the camera shipped as requested? Our credit card was accepted--there should have been no delays in sending this camera. On top of that, the camera did not get shipped until Tuesday and we did not receive it until Wednesday when it was expected Monday. You might as well not have an ordering website and just make people call you so that you can confirm the order with the phone call. I definitely think you lack in customer service.

I mistakenly ordered the above item and IMMEDIATELY emailed to ask for it to be canceled saying it was a mistake. I received an email back saying it was canceled. Then I got an email saying it was shipped. I emailed saying I wanted it canceled and they said just refuse it if it gets shipped. It was delivered to my house when I wasn't there and left on the front step. I called the delivery people and said pick it up. They said to mark it refused and they would pick it up. I did so and that has been several weeks. I have emailed and emailed and gotten no results. I called my credit card company and disputed the charge since it has still not been credited to my account. I called the Ritz camera customer services and they said I must have a tracking number. I don't since I just left the package marked refused on my door step for pick up. I have not heard from customer service again though they said they would be back in touch with me. It has been over a week since I spoke with them. This is a terrible way to do business. Please help. They sent a confirmation of order saying one item was in stock and reserved and the other was in stock and they would both be sent. Two weeks later I was informed that neither item was available and we would not be receiving them. We still have not rec'd credit card bill, so do not know if they charged us.

Ritz Camera/Camera World is the most incompetent, clueless Internet merchant I have ever dealt with. It started on day 1 with misinformation, followed by delays and delays and more misinformation and "running around in circles". Then to top it off, ten days AFTER I canceled the order they still shipped it. The requested RMA has never arrived and phone calls plus over 30 e-mail messages have still not resolved the problems. The last e-mail informed me that they would "expedite" the matter, but that was more thna 10 days ago. This merchant should be BANNED from the Internet.

I returned the item December 13, 2006 per the recommendation of its technical support and have not received replacement PCKey as of Feb. 13, 2007.

Price was not the lowest, and not highest - but reasonable.
Rec'd no order feedback, no tracking number, nothing.
Made 2 website inquiries that weren't answered.
E-mails to customer service were answered but of no help at all.
Will never consider these people again.

Avoid this merchant at all costs!
I was charged twice for the item, and once for shipping, making a $5 cable come to $17.
I still haven't gotten the charges straightened out, nor have I received the cable.
Cable was listed as "in stock" and "ships in 24 hours", yet it took an email 4 days after ordering to get them to admit it "ships from manufacturer" It's been almost two weeks now, and I still haven't gotten it. This merchant is a liar("in stock") and greedy (double charging)
At first they refused to admit they had overcharged me, even though I sent them both confirmation emails from Paypal. They then tried to blame the overcharge on PayPal, even though the merchant comment was exactly the same on both emails.
An honest merchant would have solved the problem, instead of assigning blame, and ignoring the problem for almost a week now, like this one has.
NEVER SHOP AT THIS SITE.

I ordered a Canon multi function printer, which had just stopped being made, on October 3, my credit card was charged Oct 6. No delivery. I called numerous times, was told it was to be shipped from the vendor/distribution center. Promised 3 times that CameraWorld would contact distribution center. November 16th I finally called and was demanding. The Indian phone people, nice themselves, had no authority to cut a price break etc. on another printer. I gave up in disgust. It left me without a multifunction printer on an Alaskan island. And I can't find the same printer to order because CW jerked me around so long.

I ordered a Creative muvo tx igb mp3 player on 5-24, the order form stated it was in stock, upon completion of the order i was informed it was out of stock and would be shipped from the vendor, I went to customer service and was informed it would be shipped in a week, after a week i went back to customer service and was told it would be one more week, after another week i went back and was told i would be contacted within 48 hours, after 48 hours i went back and was told i would be contacted within 24 hours, 48 hours later i went back and was finally told they really didn't know when it would ship.At this point i went to Dell and ordered the same item, when i went back to camerworld to cancel the order, I was suddenly told the order would ship the following monday, I cancelled anyway, I have never dealt with such a fraudulent company, you can't believe anything they tell you, I will never do business with them again, If you really want what you are ordering, go somewhere else.

These guys are crooks. Plain and simple.
I ordered a Kodak P880 digital camera. They sent me a unit which had OBVIOUSLY been opened, probably used as a floor model. The lense was scratched, the LCD was smeared with fingerprints, and half the accessories were thrown haphazardly into the box. I really liked the camera and was going to keep it regardless, but three pixels were blown out. I can't believe anyone had the temerity to ship this thing as "new". For 800 bucks you expect a WHOLE lot more, like cameras that aren't obviously used and accessories that are factory packaged. On the upside the nice fellow in India who answered the customer service line apologized over and over for the incompetent red neck morons running the warehouse in Georgia and sent me a return shipping form, but even that took 3 days. I will never ever deal with these people again and I suggest you do not either. |

I placed an order with Cameraworld for some computer memory. Come to find out they do not have it stock and my order was placed in back order. The site clearly stated it was in stock. Be careful, with this company. This was my first and last order if it. I am hoping, that I will get me money back. Customer Service maybe sourced out to India. Person on phone had a very pronounced Indian accent.

I ordered two digital audio cables from Camera World. After Fed Ex lost the order it took FIVE phone calls for them to send the claim form. It then took three more phone calls for them to issue my refund almost two months later. I don't know how things would have went had there not been the shipping mishap; but when things go wrong there customer service is horrible.

I strongly recommend that you do not buy at this store. I ordered a camera, a memory stick and a case. I received everything on time except for: wonder? The camera.
This is not the entire story. When I called my credit card company to cancel the operation I found out that cameraworld had charged my credit card twice. For a camera that I did not even receive. Very unpleasant situation. |

The Item was advertised new however it was refurbished. The item was listed in stock however it was not. Money was immediately withdrawn from my account without a shipping date. I tried to cancel by phone three times, five days after my first phone and two days after my third attempt to cancel the item was shipped. The excuse was they are dealing with a third party. So the item was never in stock in the first place!! Because they claim the item was shipped (no tracking number offered) the refuse to credit my account.
Dealing with these people is a hassle and they seem to want to hold on to my money as long as possible. It may be several months before my account is credited. My advice is shop some place else. |

The next day, they sent me an email stating that the item was not in stock, that it was unavailable, and attempted to blame it on a supplier. On top of that, they stated that it would take up to two billing cycles to refund my payment!

The CameraWorld website advertised the mp3 player as in stock but after I ordered it I was informed that it would be coming from Rio and there was no estimated ship date. A month after I ordered the player, I called CameraWorld, told them I considered it false advertising and "amazingly" the mp3 shipped the very next day. The Camerworld website continued to show the mp3 player all month as "in stock". When I ordered the player, I tried to use the website but couldn't since I was also using a coupon I had received from a previous order ($400 camera). So, I endured about 30 minutes of giving the order taker information, waiting, giving more information and finally finished - annoying at best! During the month, I sent several emails asking about order status but was sent generic, standard email responses that indicated no one had checked. I have had good service in the past few years from CameraWorld but will likely never order from them again.

I have shopped here for years and this is my first unpleaseant experience. The delays were because no one was checking my credit card. I had paid for a quick ship method and because of the dropped ball on checking my credit, which is perfect by the way, I got the order two or three days after I originally wanted it. The rep I talked to on the phone dropped the charge for the quick delivery after a few days of trying to get this settled and shipped. I recieved five e-mails to contact their security due to the size of the order. That finally all worked itself out. Then I tried to figure out how to claim the two rebates I was entitled to and got very poor help. I finally got that worked out but this was not a pleaseant shopping experience. I don't know if they are as good as they were before Wolf got a hold of them but I'll still shop there if I need anything else.
