I have been active on eBay since 1998 and have well over 400 transactions, mostly buying. I enjoy getting good deals and the ability to check and see what something is selling for is very cool. My major areas of contempt are as follows: 1) if you the buyer have an issue with the seller and they refuse to make amends (for example: I received a brand new track suit and the jacket zipper doesn't work - the seller called me rude names and refused to compromise on a solution), if you then leave negative feedback for them, they can turn around and do the same to you. It doesn't seem fair that you the buyer pay on time and you get a bad deal for your efforts and adding insult to injury, the seller leaves negative feedback for you! Ebay should do something about that, such as having the seller leave positive feedback before the buyer does.
Also, if you buy clothing, especially shoes, be sure you KNOW your exact size. Most Ebay sellers will make you pay for shipping both ways! Shoes dot com has free shipping both ways! That is how a seller should handle things!

I think Ebay is great for selling and buying used clothing. If you are not spending much then you cannot complain overly much if you receive an item that is not as nice as you thought it'd be. After getting the raw end of a couple deals, where the sellers lied and said that they never got the items returned, I am less likely to buy on Ebay and to look into Thrift stores more.
