All Q-Series speakers use the following proprietary AAD drivers: a 1" titanium dome tweeter with silk surround and Kapton former; a 6.5" carbon fiber loaded polypropylene mid/woofer with Kapton coil/former and rubber surround; hard paper cones with long fibers, rubber surrounds and aluminum coil/formers for the 10/12" passive woofers of the Q40/50; and composite, flat diaphragm, rigid long fiber cones for the Q-1000 subwoofer. Like all AAD speakers, the Q-Series benefits from lengthy R&D and play-testing. Shown here in AAD's sound room with top-level electronicis.
