What has kept Rockford Fosgate Punch amplifiers on top of the high-end car audio industry? Simply put, they have continually improved their amplifiers, drawing on the feedback they receive from hardcore car audio competitors. Rockford's Transana (TRANSconductance Active Nodal Amplifier) MOSFET circuitry simplifies the current and voltage gain while TOPAZ (Tracking Operation PreAmplifier Zone) circuitry eliminates 80% of unwanted noise created by ground loops. Punch amplifiers feature discreet surface mount technology (DSM) utilizing high-speed robotics to produce circuit boards that are more efficient, put out more power, and are less prone to unwanted noise. To keep the amp protected, Rockford's NOMAD (Non-Multiplying Advanced Decision) protection circuitry uses an analog computer that serves to protect, but not limit the amp.
