TEAC AD-500--adequate for the novice

Pros: compactness--seems easy to use--remote control

Cons: average sound quality--poor headphone amp--highly prone to dirt problems

The Bottom Line: Poorly built and prone to dirt and dust inside. Middlin' to poor sound quality. The unit just wouldn't keep working.
