The bottom line: Awesome headphones. Comfortable, great sound, awesome noise cancelling characteristics. Very pricey but if you have a real need or desire to own these, they are worth every penny!
I am planning on taking a trip to Russia. I know I am going to be on that plane for 10 to 12 hours each way. I wanted some way to enjoy the music, the trip and relax during the flight. I know these are going to help me. I work in a very loud and noisy data center. Tons of servers, and CRAC HVAC units. This place rumbles and roars much louder than the plane will. When you put these babies on, the ear cups are extremely soft and comfortable. The cups completely encapsulate your ears and block out much of the ambient noise. However, when you turn on the active electronics, that now muffled roar, becomes a very pleasant and peaceful "Swoosh".. :-) ALL the LOW and obtrusive frequencies are cancelled out! AMAZING! Mind you, I have not played any music yet! I have read other peoples reviews of the sound quality and was concerned. When I play music through these myself, I am VERY happy! I think they sound fabulous! I get all the highs and lows I expect. Great crisp treble and low pounding bass. They are very pricey, but I think they are worth every penny if you have a real an substantial reason to own them!
