Road-warrior Review ...Bose QC3, Simply Superior
Pros: Comfortable ear pads, lightweight, battery is long life and easy recharge, good ergonomic design
Cons: Expensive $$$, but worth the investment Full review I frequently travel long haul international flights to and from the USA and Asia, as well as internal flights in the USA , and have had experience using the "Noise Cancelling headphones " in the Boeing 747 fit-out, I have also owned a pair of Sony Noise cancelling headphones which at the time cost around $100. unfortunately I left my Sonys' on a United Airlines flight and now someone else has the pleasure of using them, BUT all things have a silver lining, I ended up buying a BOSE QC3 headphone set and they are simply superior. The noise cancelling bandwidth is better, the ear pads are nice and comfortable and dont numb my ears like the Sony, the battery pack is a simply plug in and its not a simply AA battery on the over the head part, or on the plug in lead. The battery charger is simple, elegant and well designed. I cannot fault this setup one bit really. The case is simple and easy to open and shut, protecting this expensive bit of kit. I also put my Ipod in the exterior elastic pocket on the storage case and so I have a nice easy package to handle all my stuff with on the plane. |
