Headphone Engineered for Silence

Pros: Great sound. No noise gets in to disrupt the music
Cons: Construction is good except at the band to speaker connection

The bottom line: Good recommendation to those whom want good sound and do not like the fit of buds or over-the-ear units

I've got ears like an elephant. Big and floppy. I tried buds. No luck. They just fall out. Over the ear. Not to bad, but still the sound suffers. Then I found the Bose Triport. Kinda big. Kinda bulky. Kinda fragile?
We all have seen the classic photos of the 1970's, with fully grown men on roller skates with huge headphones on. I figure that this might be me on the metro. Who knows, people may be saying things about me. Even if they were screaming it at me, I could not hear them. Why? Beacuse the sound deading capabilites of these headphones is that good. Now, don't confuse what I said with noise cancelling. These units do not have that rather fancy feature. Honestly, I am glad. I could almost stand next to a fire truck going full blare and not hear them with these babies on.
The seal around the ear is very comfortable and secure due to the swivel and pitch latitude of the headphone design. Little to no stray sound enters my ear canal from outside. The band is of decent quality and fits nicely. But the connectors between the band and the actual headphone are brittle. I have already broken one set, but Bose did replace it (one year warranty). Overall I give the units a high rating for the quality of sound and a good rating for the construction.
