The bottom line: If you want superb sound, and basically an awesome sound system that fits in a bookbag, get the Bose Triport Over Ears....oh yeah....they are awesome!
I just purchased a pair of the Triports and when I finally got them I plugged them into my laptop. The results were absoluteley AMAZING! Even the manual tells you not to turn on any artificial bass boost, since they do a great job at providing rich deep bass all by themselves.
I took them to my friends house, and my headphones were soon being passed around for others to experience. It was like showing off a new car.
We compared them to a pair of Sony's my friend had, and well, they dont compare. The Triports blow them out of the water and onto the shore, if you know what I mean.
The sound is impeccable, so clear, you can hear things you cant really hear with any regular set of headphones.
Bottom line, I love them. If you dont want to shell out 150 dollars, try an online auction and you might be able to get them for less.
Go to an electronics store like Best Buy where I have tried Bose headphones. See which ones you like. If your price range is below 200 dollars then I reccommend these Triports Over Ear Bose Headphones.
