this plyer has a fm/am radio, voice record and can download music comes with all needed wiring (the usb cord and head phone) also come with a card for fifty free music downloads that you get free to put on your computer no discs to mess with and down load onto your computer that is alot of hassle, easy to follow instructions. if you need alot of songs this in not for you unless you want to buy a chip sorry but there is no music chip that comes with this mp3 player it has a built in memory drive that holds up to 75 song all depending on the size of the file...but yes as i was saying you can always buy a chip to insert which goes into the back where the battery port is than you can hold up to as many songs as the chip allows you to.. this is a better gift for ages 3-8 maybe cause there song vocab isn't as extreme as the older age groups it is good to occupy the children with at any time.. but be prepared this mp3 player eats a world of batteries so make sure that you have plenty of them or am planning on paying top dollar on the good ones i found that the best batteries to use in this mp3 player is duracell these batteries always seem to last the longest. this mp3 player is very durable my son has dropped it a couple times and the only thing that has happened to it is the battery backing has came flying off of it so it has been through alot of heck..
