Epinions Minolta's DiMAGE Z20: A poor man's "prosumer, swiss army knife" digital camera...

by  jeadm,  Jun 30, 2005
Pros: Versatility, ergonomics, long zoom and battery life, fast startup and operation, excellent color, sharp.
Cons: No low light focus assist, no microphone, vulnerable card slot.
The Bottom Line: This camera is probably overlooked by many first time digital camera shoppers. Look closer! Both enthusiasts and beginners can really take pleasure in the affordable and versatile Minolta DiMAGE Z20.
Review: The Minolta DiMAGE Z20 is the model that appears to be replacing the DiMAGE Z10, a camera I also have owned. This is a real good camera for somebody who wants to have it all (almost) but just can't afford one that does. And believe me, there isn't one ...

Epinions Very nice camera for the price

by  jwpearce,  Jul 25, 2005
Pros: Reasonably priced, high quality pictures with true-to-life color
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: A midline camera that is very easy to use yet can accommodate a user with higher experience, A very good value compared to its competitors.
Review: This is my third digital camera. I was shopping for one with high megapixels and decent optical zoom, most seriously considering the Kodak 10x optical zoom EasyShare. I found this model at Costco. For nearly $100 cheaper than the Kodak, it came with ...

Epinions Simply Amazing

by  kf4tqj,  Feb 13, 2007
Pros: Takes Great pictures, Easy on batteries, easy to use, reasonable price & numerous features
Cons: Could use a microphone for video.
The Bottom Line: I bought this as a step up from my first digital camera. I didn't expect this much camera for the price. I'm very happy with it.
Review: This is a great camera. I bought it just before Christmas because I had been wanting something better than the old Sony P30 I had been using. The Sony was only 1.3 mp. The first thing I appreciated was the feel of it in my hand. All the ...

Epinions z20 review point

by  mistrymk,  Jun 26, 2005
Pros: 5MP with 8X optical bargain
Cons: size, lens cap not attached to camera
Review: Somebody has mentioned in these reviews that the screen viewfinder can't be used and locks up. This is not the case, there are two modes, one to use the traditional view finder to conserve bettery and the other to use the screen. Pros: 1cm macro, long ...

Epinions Awesome Camera

by  ginamusic,  Jun 26, 2005
Pros: Design, features, price
Cons: none
Review: Just received the camera for my birthday. Absolutely love all the great features. The view finder is especially nice. Clean clear picture. I haven't had any problems with it. I have never written a review before, and was so impressed that I just had to. ...

Epinions A very very good and inexpensive digicam

by  macgeezer,  Jun 27, 2005
Pros: -Sharp images, fast startup time, 8Xoptical zoom, really close up macro images
Cons: -Lens cap should be attached to camera
Review: This model has now been discontinued. Actually it means that the price (which was always low) has now plummeted. If you don't mind it being yesterday's model (nearly literally so), well then I recommend this Dimage Z20 heartily. Both the viewfinder ...

Epinions Funny looking, but functional

by  davlee,  Jun 28, 2005
Pros: Powerful 8x zoom; great battery life; easy to use; good focus; many manual settings
Cons: ISO CCD noise; unattached lens cap; "dark" lens
The Bottom Line: This camera is an especially good buy if you can get a deal on it. You'll never go back to wimpy 3x optical zooms!
Review: The Z20 occupies a niche market with limited appeal - the "super zoom" digital camera. Far too bulky to be put in a pocket, super-zooms provide some of the performance of a "serious" DSLR-level camera at a third of the cost. HP, Olympus, Canon, Nikon, ...

Epinions Nice camera with some fatal flaws

by  rebeccad,  Mar 13, 2007
Pros: Features and weight for price.
Cons: LED screen issues, poor control locations.
The Bottom Line: Despite many great features, I cannot recommend this camera, due to the problems with the LED screen.
Review: I bought my Dimage Z20 in April 2005, which makes it a dinosaur (and Konica-Minolta has since folded). I will say that at the time it was a great camera for the money. Only a year later, however, my husband bought a lot more and better camera for less ...

Epinions Gets Locked on Viewfinder Mode! Can't View LCD

by  envynyc,  Jun 1, 2005
Pros: The Dimage Z20 takes great pictures and is easy to use.
Cons: Viewfinder locks up so you can't use LCD screen. Lens cap not attached.
The Bottom Line: I hesitate to recommend this as there seems to be a manufacturing flaw with the viewfinder mode but it does take great pictures.
Review: I decided to buy a good digital camera for a trip to Ireland I took last month. After extensive research, I decided on the Konica Minolta Dimage Z20 because of it's large optical zoom (8x)and 5 megapixels. It's also very well priced for a camera with ...
