Epinions Mmmm, Underworld, I love you

by  Sundrop,  Jan 11, 2000
Pros: Classic Underworld
Cons: Cons? On this cd?
Review: Speechless...how can I tell you just how good this cd is? I will tell you this, and don't laugh...it has made me cry before. With that said, let me tell you why.

Each track, beginning with one of the *best* on the cd, "dark &...

Epinions Dubbedgreatestdancealbumofalltimeman -Underworld's rave opus

by  greyarea,  Sep 24, 2000
Pros: Essential, timeless progressive techno - serves as both a crucial point in the evolution of dance music and just a blissfully good listen
Cons: Underworld have now split =[
Review: Underworld leapt into the charts and international fame on the back of "Born Slippy" - a cut released with the movie Trainspotting... but possibly on of the most influential dance records was completed years before with Dubnobasswithmyheadman -...

Epinions Music for a twisted generation

by  dodders,  Jul 10, 2000
Pros: Intelligent house music
Cons: Absolutely none.
Review: If Rachmaninov were alive today, he'd probably try and write music like this. And I doubt he'd get close. You could file this CD under Techno, but that would unfairly pigeonhole an album of orchestral sweep.

Epinions Mmm, Darren E, I love you

by  joyrex5,  Mar 1, 2001
Pros: Excellent laid back prog-techno, and the start of Underworld's second wind.
Cons: The fact Darren Emerson couldn't have joined earlier.
The Bottom Line: The debut of Underworld with the aid of Darren Emerson, and the start of a string of some of the best progressive techno.
Review: Back when I was listening to Orbital and Prodigy and everyone one else was 'rocking' to Guns and Roses and Metallica I popped in DubNoBass and they stopped and listened. It seems like Karl, Rick, and Darren did everything right on this record.

Epinions and we all went mental and danced

by  mian,  Feb 5, 2000
Pros: A Masterpiece
Cons: A long title :)
Review: Dubnobasswithmyheadman is one of the definitive album's of the electronica genre. Across nine tracks of musical genius, Underworld has sculpted in sound a skyscraper of emotion and melody.

Released in 1994, Dubnobass plays freshly today....

Epinions Everything Everything Everything...

by  dataghost,  Sep 26, 2000
Pros: Everything - every break is a gem
Cons: Rez is not included
Review: I bought this album when it came out because of I was a fan of the band as Freur (remember "Doot Doot"?) and in their Underneath the Radar days on Sire records. Now they come back on Junior Boys Own: the Prince-ish funk and pop sensibility are...

Epinions Don't lie people.. you know why we bought this album. ;-)

by  eatcha,  Nov 1, 2000
Pros: you'll get board of your girlfriend and still have a great CD.
Cons: Your mum will probably get your X's christmas present
Review: Strange looks fall on Eatcha;
he turns slowly to face the crowd;
from his high vantage point he spoke words that were set in stone....

"Because its.. "(crowd gasps and holds breath)...

"Wi-ked...
