Reliability

I had this amplifier professionally installed at a chain audio store (Tweeter). Correct wire sizes were used, correct fuses, polarity of the wiring etc.

The amplifier itself was mounted to the steel bulkhead behind the rear seat of an extended cab pickup driving a single JL Audio 10" woofer, a set of 3 speaker component Focal speakers in the front (tweeters installed in the A pillar) but otherwise just replacing the stock speakers with much better ones. Audio quality was fantastic while it lasted.

I listen to a pretty wide variety of music. Sound quality was the primary objective, rather than annoying the neighborhood. I'm approaching middle age.

After 6 months of use the vehicle was placed in indoor storage for 18 months in a temperature controlled warehouse while I was overseas. Upon returning, everything worked for about 3 weeks. Then, the front 2 channels of the amplifier died (no sound from the front 2 channels). The warranty is only 12 months and removing the amplifier and replacing it wasn't on my list of things to do.

I would not buy another or recommend it except that there are mounting holes in the back bulkhead of the truck specific to this amplifier.
