I have a GPS unit in my car. Now, when I go somewhere in a car that doesn't have it, I don't feel right. It's weird. I decided to get a GPS for my wife. She does not have a built in GPS in her van so it was time to look for one.
For me, the choice came down to Garmin vs. TomTom. I'm sure the Garmin units are fine, but the 4.3" widescreen of the TomTom had me sold.
As far as the GPS is concerned, it works great. I don't really know what to tell you. The screen is crisp and clear. The touch screen works well... Actually, it seems to be a little more accurate than the unit in my car. In my car, I make a lot of typos. With the TomTom, it's much easier.
I like how the map view is a little "lower" so that you can sorta see out into the distance. It makes driving and following the directions easy.
