It's a decent television
Pros: Nice picture, good price,
Cons: not the greatest sound, very heavy Full review When our 10 year old CRT died in a puff of smoke a few months ago we toyed with the idea of buying a plasma TV but found them to be way too expensive considering we don't have HD anything. So after shopping around for a little while, we came upon this Toshiba 27" flat screen CRT. I can only compare this TV to my old one, which at the time we bought it was top of the line. Picture: The picture is really nice. The colours are bright and sharp for a TV like this one. Certainly much brighter than my old TV. (although I'm not sure if the colours in the old TV had faded or not) This TV has a "Colour Stream" feature which allows you to bump the picture clarity up a little bit and that certainly makes a slight difference when watching DVD's. Sound: The speakers are okay but certainly not the highest quality. I found it to be a but squeaky but volume wasn't a problem. The sound is adequate. We have it attached to our stereo receiver, so the TV speakers are bypassed. One word of caution though....this TV is HEAVY! Way heavier than my old TV. It weighs about 90 lbs, so make sure the stand you put it on can hold the weight. |
