Perfect for listening from computer
Pros: clear sound quality, light weight, simple instructions, transmits from computer
Cons: remote control doesn't turn speakers on Full review My husband loves to listen to podcasts and music on the web, but he could only listen to it in our office and wanted to listen in other rooms. I looked into buying an iPod along with a speaker system, but that was too expensive for us. Since we didn't need an iPod, it made more sense to buy these wireless speakers that connected to our home computer. That way, we could put them anywhere in our apartment to listen. So I looked into buying wireless speakers for computers and found the Cables Unlimited pair online to buy for my husband this past Christmas. At the time, they also came with a wireless headphone set, which has been great to use while doing the dishes. The speakers have a very clear sound to them, especially when used together in the same room. The remote control unfortunately does not turn them on, but once they're on, the remote control works fine. We've listened to podcasts and music and it sounds great. They're easy to move from room to room because they are lightweight. Most times, I put one speaker in one room and the other in another. The main problem I have had is that the wireless transmitter stopped working, so I have to use the transmitter from the headphones for the speakers, which is no big deal. I would have been able to replace the transmitter for the speakers, but I threw away the packaging and the online store I bought them from said I had to have the packaging. I'm glad I got the headphones. In short, make sure you keep the packaging in case anything screws up. I don't know if it's a common occurrence, or just a fluke. All in all, they're definitely a good bargain for the sound quality and compared to an iPod system. |
