Having long ago made the big leap from dial-up to a cable modem, I thought, as far as internet is concerned, I am all set. This was before I bought the D-Link DI 784 wireless router. Now I am not sure how I ever lived connected to cords like a marionette. Wireless really is freedom!

Update: Well, it finally died on me: Oct 2004-Oct 2006. I had it on 24 hours a day :) Annoying thing is I bought a Trendnet Trendware 802.11a router as a replacement (primarily for the price). BIG MISTAKE. Trendnet disconnects even the wired connections once a day. Sticking with D-Links from now...

A good product, however, a horrible 1.20 upgrade may render this essentially useless. DLink refuses to accept responsibility for a bad firmware upgrade. Check dslreports.com for information concerning this widespread problem.
