Pros Intuitive menus, bright easy to read screen, very detailed maps, small and easy to mount.
Cons Sometimes questionable routing, short battery life, multiple and possibly confusing...
Recommended it? Yes

As a die hard user of traditional maps (and more recently, Google Maps on my iPhone) I have reluctantly held back from the temptation to buy an automotive based GPS system.

Pros Small, light, easy to use interface, accurate, flexible.
Cons Initial lock-on needs to be done standing still, more turn warning time.

I purchased this GPS after moving to a new city, to help me navigate around until I learned where everything is located.

A word of advice: if you’re ever in a car with me and hear me say, “let’s turn left, I’m sure that’s the right way,” turn right.  Just turn right because my sense of direction is non-existent.

The TomTom One 125 GPS is an excellent entry-level unit with plenty of features, a clear display and directions, and an easy-to-learn interface.  While it has limitations, and it lacks some of the nice features of more expensive models, it does its job well.
