Pros Great concept! Extremely user-friendly. Powerful zoom. Extra features.
Cons EXPENSIVE! Video quality is questionable. 16:9 files stretched back to 4:3 when played.
Recommended it? Yes

It took me several months of waiting for a good deal on some new technology. I heard enough stories about miniDV, DVD etc. from friends and I think those cameras are not really user-friendly and convenient... Pros Price, weight, convenience, short learning curve, handling, quality of videos
Cons Battery life limited if you plan to do duration videos.  Buy a backup for security.
Recommended it? Yes

The price range for budget camcorders has changed much recently. The MG630, released on March 1st of 2009 as a member of JVC's Everio G Series line, is in that group or reasonably priced electronics.
