I have had many subs but kicker has alwasy been my main selection, i had 2 of these in my car and let me tell you it was the best system ive ever had. Pros Loud, hit hard, deep bass, good looks, durable
Cons Pops when you go too loud, expensive, need a huge box

I have recently bought two of the new 2004 Kicker S15L72 15" Solo-Baric subs and to put it in easy terms, they're amazing. If you want bass that can be heard from blocks these subs are for you.
