I obtained the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 about two years ago to take on a cruise.  It seemed to work well although one downside is the special battery it has which means if the battery runs down, either time to recharge the battery is needed or it would need a second pre-charged battery. My... Pros small<br>light-weight<br>wide-angle lense<br>great price
Cons no carrying padded case of any kind - this little gem deserves some protection
Recommended it? Yes


It's slim, good looking and fits perfectly in one hand. I used to have some big, bulky "Pro" cameras but they were just impractical for daily use.
This one has excellent battery life, choice of easily accessible options and intuitive controls.
