The Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z10's built-in 8x optical Mega Zoom lens and 4x digital zoom combine for a total 32x zoom, allowing photographers to capture everything from sporting events to panoramic scenery. The camera's optical lens system consists of 11 elements in nine groups and includes two aspheric lens elements, for sharp, high-quality images. The DiMAGE Z10 combines a 3.2-megapixel primary-color CCD with Konica Minolta's proprietary CxProcess(TM) II image processing technology for pictures that appear exactly the way they are seen. Less

The Maxxum 7 Digital will have a six megapixel APS sized CCD, will have body integrated anti-shake (just like the DiMAGE A1/A2) which will work with all lenses and will be fully system compatible. Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z10 Digital Camera: plenty of features, great for casual snapshots

bytelynor Dec 27, 2004
69 Helpfuls 70 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Ergonomic design, lens cap for the lens, several zoom settings plus macro.
Cons That lens cap will disappear if not attached. Sensitive to dust, dirt, water or sand.
Recommended it? Yes

Photography has always been a hobby of mine, and as an artist, it's a terrific tool for capturing a moment when you cannot haul along drawing or painting supplies. So I was rather surprised when I recieved one of these from a 'secret Santa.' I had used digital cameras before, purchasing a Hewlett... Read full review »

Pros price, quality, power, a great camera for the beginner or power user
Cons separate lens cap, no flash sync

Let me state that I am a Canon man. Have used them for over 30 years with great success. Why then would I buy the Dimage Z10?.

I wanted a 'real' camera not an aluminum matchbox with a lens stuck on it. Small may be beautiful to some, but I don't like them. My wife has an Elph..I hate it,... Read full review »

Adventures with the Maxxum 7D

byPirich Jan 22, 2007
27 Helpfuls 28 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Inexpensive for value, lots of lenses/accessories, powerful features, Flat-out WORKS
Cons No successor yet produced, becoming somewhat rare.
Recommended it? Yes

My first SLR was the first Minolta auto focus SLR, the Maxxum 7000. My second SLR, as it turns out, is the first of Minolta's Digital SLRs, and sadly, appeared at the end of this brand in the marketplace. Now that I had had the Maxxum 7D for a while, I have had a chance to shoot with it in a wide... Read full review »

Size, Shape & Weight
This camera is almost perfectly sized for average male hands, the only exception being the hand-grip, which could be a bit deeper. The overall shape resembles that of its 35mm bro, the award-winning Minolta Dynax 7, although adjustments have been made to bring it more in... Read full review »
